A Secret Garden Sneak Peek

Secret Garden

I am always a sucker for floral stamps.  When I saw the new floral set, Secret Garden, in the Spring catalog, and that it had matching framelits, I knew I had to have the bundle.  The coordinating framelits dies are such time savers — I love them!

Have a great Monday!  Do you have big plans for New Years Eve?  We’ll be hanging out here at home with three children who will all be asleep well before midnight rolls around.  Sounds like a fun night to me!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Secret Garden (available Jan. 3), Friendly Phrases
Ink:  Versamark, Basic Black
Paper:  Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, In Color dsp stack
Embellishments:  Secret Garden Framelits (available Jan. 3), Pearl Basic Jewels, 3/16″ Corner punch

I hope you have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Sneak Peek at Posies & More

Pop-up Posie

Here’s a card with a bunch of sneak peeks for you.  I used some products from the new Spring catalog, which will be live on January 3rd, and some designer series paper and a stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, which will be available on January 22nd.

The beautiful flower was made using a new kit, called the Pop-Up Posies Designer kit.  It includes the precut paper flower pieces and the embossed Crumb Cake tag.  The kit also includes some other goodies, which I didn’t use on this card.

Stamps:  Vintage Verses (available Jan. 22)

Triple Thanks

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  My three excited children had a great time playing with all of their new “toys.”  We stayed at home all day yesterday, snuggled up by the fire.  Our warm winter came to a sudden end with quite a bit of snow yesterday.  Snow in Texas on Christmas day — what a rare and wonderful treat (I can say that because I know it won’t last long before it melts here)!

3 Affection Thanks

Now that Christmas is over, it’s time for some thank you notes.  These were quick and easy.  I used the Affection Collection stamp set.  If you don’t have it and you like it, you’d better get it quick.  It will not be available after January 2nd.  Here’s a closer look at the three cards:

Just Thinking of You

Spring Thinking

Yea!  Christmas break is here!  It’s so good to have the kids home for a couple of weeks, and having my husband at home for a week of that makes it even better.  My parents will come stay with us starting tomorrow, and Christmas couldn’t come soon enough for my three children.  I love this time of the year!

I’ve been playing with some of my pre-order items from the Spring catalog.  This is one of the new single stamps in the catalog.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for this one.

A Scrappy Birthday

I needed to make a birthday card for a friend I’ve known since junior high.  Her birthday is just a couple of days before Christmas, and I remember how she didn’t like having a birthday so close to Christmas because she didn’t feel like her birthday was very special.  So I always make an effort to give her a birthday card that is non-Christmas-y.  It was fun using some bright colors again.

A Scrappy Birthday

I used some of my paper scraps on this one.  I love this pack of dsp, and save all of my little scraps from it.

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Framed Newsprint Noel

I can tell I’m ready to move on from Christmas cards.  I sat and stared at my Christmas-themed papers today, and couldn’t find any that I wanted to use. So I reached for an old favorite — First Edition (newsprint) and decided to pair it with the Lucky Limeade dsp stack (polka dots).  And now that I’m addicted to Pool Party once again, I reached for it too.

A Framed Newsprint Noel

I stamped the holly from Watercolor Winter and then embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder over it.  I even pulled out my little sewing machine for this one.
