Christmas Trees X 3

These little trees just make me smile!  I think they are so cute and I love polka dots.  I stamped and die cut three of them out and added three little stars made of the champagne glimmer paper (love that stuff!).  I embossed the greeting with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  This was an easy card to make.

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Cup of Christmas Coacoa

I wanted to play with the sketch challenge over at the Retro Sketches site.  This is a great sketch to use some of your scraps of pretty patterned paper.

When I was trying to decide what to use for my focal image, I decided to combine the Retro Sketches challenge with this week’s challenge at the Paper Players, as I wanted to play along with this challenge too.  The Paper Players challenge is to feature a cup.

So I used the one “cup” image I have, which I happen to love, from the Scentsational Season set in the Holiday catalog.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Batty Halloween Card

Here’s a Halloween card for you today.  I love the bats in the Googly Ghouls set.  I cut three of them out and then popped them up on dimensionals for this card.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for stamping the chevron stripes from the Border Banter set.  It was really easy to get them lined up that way.

Well, we made it to the State Fair yesterday.  My little one was a trooper and even though I could tell she still wasn’t 100%, she kept up with everyone else and had a good time.  Once we got home, my oldest said his tummy really hurt.  Hmmm…wonder if that was due to the Fletcher’s corny dog, the fried cookie dough, the red velvet funnel cake or the sweet potato tornado fries that he had???  😉

Have a great Tuesday, which will feel like Monday to me since yesterday was a holiday for us.  Thanks for stopping by!

Patchwork Peace on Earth

Here’s another Christmas card I made with the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper stack.  I pulled out my sewing machine and used it on this card.  Don’t look closely — my zig-zag stitch wasn’t working right and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it.  It was probably malfunctioning from lack of use.  🙂

I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  My kids have the day off from school today so we are planning on going to the State Fair if my little one is feeling better.  She has been sick over the weekend.

Have a good Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Glittery Noel

Image

I’ve been playing around with the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack today.  There are some really pretty papers in there.  Here’s a card where I really let the focus be on the paper rather than the stamping.  However, I do think this stamped sentiment is gorgeous.  I love the fonts used in this stamp set.  I added a snowflake made with the champagne glitter paper for a little sparkle.  Overall, it’s a simple card.

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Banners are Amazing

It has been hard for me to make a card these past few months without banners, or pennants, or flags, or whatever you like to call them.  They are really trendy right now, and I’m hooked.  So when I saw the challenge at Create with Connie & Mary, I had to play along.

CCMC221

And once again, I pulled out my favorite stamp set, You’re Amazing.  I just love that set!  Who wouldn’t like to get a card that said, “You’re Amazing”?

Christmas Coacoa

I am one of those rare people who doesn’t drink coffee.  In fact, I strongly dislike even the smell of it.  So when I saw this stamp, I decided it must have hot chocolate in it.  At least that way, I can stamp it without wrinkling my nose.  🙂

I made this card using this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

When I saw this sketch, I thought it looked like a pretty easy sketch.  But I just couldn’t get happy with anything I tried.  Finally, I came up with this and decided to call it a day.  Some days are like that, aren’t they?

I hope you have a great Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Yummy Tag

I delivered coffee and some homemade blueberry coffee cake to the second grade teachers at my daughter’s school this morning.  I wrapped the plate of coffee cake with this tag and some twine to dress it up a little.  I only had fifteen minutes to make it, so it had to be easy and quick.  I love all of the detail in this stamp set!  This will be a fun set to use as I make holiday treats.

A Birthday Balloon of Many Colors

I wanted to make a birthday card today and since I’ve barely used any of my International Bazaar designer series paper, I decided that I needed to use it.  This paper intimidates me a little though because the patterns are pretty busy and there are a lot of colors involved.  So I decided to use it in small doses.  I’ve gotta work my way up to it, I guess.  🙂
