Two Christmas Tags with non-Christmas Colors

Ornament Tags

Here are a couple of Christmas tags using some non-traditional colors.  And I did not use the Big Shot at all on these — I didn’t know that it was still possible for me to do that, but I did.  🙂

Have a great Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Pieces of Christmas

Pieces of Holiday WishesHere’s a pretty easy Christmas card for you today.  I used up some scraps of designer series paper for this one, and let the pretty sentiment be the focal point of the card.  The most time-consuming part of this card was trying to carefully color the sentiment with my two markers — some of those swirls get awfully close to the words and I wanted them to be different colors.  It seemed like a good idea before I started.  🙂

Have a great Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to play along with the sketch challenge over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge site because I love the sketch this week.  I wanted to use the Blooming with Kindness stamp set because I love it and haven’t used it in a while, and I thought it was perfect for this sketch.

Easy Layer TreeHere’s an easy Christmas card that wouldn’t be hard to mass produce or mail.  And it has some of my favorite things — scallops, polka dots,  and my favorite little tree.  I copied the layout for this card from one in the annual catalog on page 53.

Pointsettia Pocket

I got this Petite Pocket die recently, and decided it was time to try it out.  I inserted a Very Vanilla card stock piece in it with the sentiment stamped across the top, and plenty of room to write a little note.

Petite Pocket Pointsettia

We got the tree up and the lights put up outside yesterday.  I’d prefer to decorate the tree with a nice fire going in the fireplace, but I had to turn on the air conditioner instead.  It’s just hard to get in the Christmas spirit when it’s so warm outside.  But I’d better find a way to get in it quickly or it will be over before I know it.

Fun Season’s Greetings

three snowy trees

Here’s a Christmas card with some non-traditional colors for you.  I just felt the need to be inky with some bright and fun colors today.  For the “snow” along the bottom, I just tore a strip of Whisper White card stock, swiped the rough edge with my 2-Way Glue Pen, and sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds glitter along the edge.

Enjoy your weekend!  We’re putting up our tree and other Christmas decorations here.  Maybe that will help me get in a Christmas frame of mind.  Thanks for stopping by!
