One of the main reasons why I loved the For the Birds set in the catalog when it first came out was because it has images that you can watercolor. I have always loved to color and I still do. There’s something that is so relaxing and calming about coloring.
I made this card using this week’s sketch over at the Retrosketches site.
I got the color combination straight from the Color Coach. I find that I use that helpful tool quite a bit, as it provides suggested color combinations for each color. Plus, I use it a lot to just see what different color combinations would look like together.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: For the Birds, Sweet Essentials
Ink: Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Marina Mist, Summer Starfruit, Soft Suede, Basic Gray, Bashful Blue
Paper: Summer Starfruit, Real Red, Polka Dot Parade, Watercolor paper
Embellishments: Summer Starfruit 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon, Subtles Designer buttons, Pearls Basic Jewels

And what a great job coloring you did! 🙂 I LOVE this card and I love the color combo! That color coach sure comes in handy.
Beautiful card and I ditto everything you said about coloring! You did a great job!
