A Heart to Heart Wreath — FMS432

We’re back with another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week, and our hostess, the lovely Jennifer Timko, has a fun one for us.  Take a look:

When I first saw the sketch, I immediately knew I wanted to make a wreath with Spring flowers.  And since I hadn’t used the Heart to Heart stamp set in a while, I thought I would go with that set.

I started by stamping the flowers on a piece of white card stock with Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Blushing Bride inks.  I stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink and then cut all of them out with my paper snips.  I die cut a circle from Crumb Cake card stock and then cut out another smaller circle inside it to make the wreath base.

Using a stamp from the A Big Thank You stamp set, I stamped the horizontal line using Pool Party ink.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings.  Some sequins were added as finishing touches.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch!  We love to see what your make as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Heart to Heart Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Here’s one last card I’ll share for the occasion.

This one uses the sweet Hear to Heart stamp set.  It has a sentiment for today’s holiday, but it has others that are perfect for weddings or just to send love to someone.

I stamped the three images randomly on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Flirty Flamingo and Real Red ink for the flowers, and Old Olive ink for the leaves.

The paper is from the From My Heart Specialty DSP collection, and the pretty little border is from the Nature’s Thoughts Dies collection.  It adds a pretty feminine touch against the striped paper.  I added some black and white baker’s twine, which is retired but I hope I never run out of it (I stocked up on it when I found out it was being retired).  I also used some of the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots, which were offered in the Holiday catalog but have been carried over and are still available.

I hope you are able to spend this Valentine’s Day with those you love!  Enjoy your Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!
