A Shiny, Sparkly Snowflake

All That GlimmersWhen I saw the inspiration picture at the Moxie Fab blog this week, I was inspired and knew I had to play along.

When I saw the beautiful tray, I thought of the Brushed Silver card stock, which I haven’t pulled out in a LONG time.  It’s so pretty, I really should use it more.  I embossed the medallion in the background with vanilla embossing powder (I wish SU carried this color) and then used silver and champagne glimmer paper for the snowflake.  I embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.  This was a fun card to make because it is so over the top for me.

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Christmas Doily Greeting

Here’s an easy Christmas card for you.  I cut the doily with the Large Delicate Doilies Sizzlit die using copy paper because I wanted it to be made of a thinner paper than card stock.

Hope you’re having a good week so far.  My children have the week off from school next week, so this week is zooming by as I try to get everything done this week so I can relax and enjoy my time with them next week.  I’ve still got a lot to finish up on my list before the weekend gets here.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Snowflake Medallion

I love the sketch on the Retro Sketches site this week, so with the little time I had to play today, I decided to use this sketch.

This simple card took a long time to make.  I’d get one step done and the laundry buzzer would go off.  I’d come back and forget what I was going to do for the next step.  I was not a good multi-tasker today.  🙂

I hope you enjoy your Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Smooches

I wanted to play along with the sketch challenge over at Retro Sketches today.

I haven’t used one of my favorite dies, Beautiful Butterflies, in a long time so I decided to pull that out.  I also hadn’t used some of my favorite designer series paper, Summer Smooches in a long time, so I pulled it out too.  The rest was easy-peasy.

Nothing hard about this card, but I like the layers and the simplicity.  As you can tell, I’m still trying to hold on to summer.  As much as I love Fall (and it is my favorite season), I’m not ready for it quite yet.  Maybe that’s why I’m sad that my kids went back to school today, besides the fact that I miss having them at home with me.

Enjoy your last week of August!  Thanks for stopping by!

Fan Fair Flower

This is another card I made while playing with the Postage Due stamp set.  When it comes to trying to make something with a vintage look, I find I end up pulling out a little of this and a little of that from all of my supplies.  Before I know it, I have a big mess!  Can anyone else relate to that?

Enjoy your day!
