Birthday Balloons and Cake

It’s time for another Fab Friday challenge, and this week we have a fun sketch challenge for you:

I really love the Birthday Cake stamp, which is a single stamp in the annual catalog.  I hadn’t used any of the Birthday Basics dsp yet, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to break into it.

Birthday Balloons and CakeYou have two weeks to link up to this challenge, so I hope you’ll join us.  You should go check out what the rest of the design team made over at the Fab Friday challenge site.

Enjoy your Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Artisan Swap

Every year Stampin’ Up! holds a contest for its demonstrators, the Artisan Design Team Contest,  in which demonstrators can enter ten different projects and Stampin’ Up! then judges the submitted projects and selects twenty finalists based on creativity, craftsmanship, etc…  Out of those twenty finalists, ten are selected to be on the Artisan Design Team for a one year term.  Those ten winners will be announced at Awards Night this evening.

I was blessed to have been selected as one of the twenty finalists again this year, and we were able to meet up yesterday and swap cards.  This is one talented group of ladies (and incredibly kind and lovely), let me tell you.  I think that designing cards for this swap is more stressful than creating the actual entries for the contest.  But it’s so worth it because I get beautiful cards in return and I get to meet some incredible stamping ladies.  This is the card I made for the swap:

Artisan Swap

I felt like this card is very true to my style, and I really hope they liked it.

Enjoy your Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!
