Hello There Old Favorite and Some Milestone Blog Candy

Today’s post marks my 500th post on this blog.  Wow!  Time flies!  It just doesn’t seem like it’s been that long.  I thought I should give the blog a little bit of an update, so I redesigned the blog header using My Digital Studio and gave it a Spring look.  Easy-peasy!

I decided to pull out an old favorite set that I haven’t used in long time, Betsy’s Blossoms.  I just used some new colors and other new products with it to give it a fresh look.  I still love this set!  The large flower is embossed with gold embossing powder, and I added some other fun gold embellishments as well.

Hello There Old Friend

Since 500 posts deserves something to mark the occasion, I decided some blog candy is in order.  Just leave a comment at the bottom of this post by 4 pm (CST) on Monday, and I’ll randomly pick one winner to receive this:

The winner will get a package of Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape, a roll of Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, Lucky Limeade Baker’s Twine, and a Cloudy Day  Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Please be sure to check back on Tuesday to see if you’ve won, as I’ll need the winner to email me his/her shipping address.

What I have most enjoyed about these past 500 posts is getting to make new friends through my computer.  I love hearing from all of you, and I am so thankful for the comments and support!

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

One Year Anniversary and Blog Candy

Today marks the one year anniversary of this blog.  I  don’t know why it took me so long to start one, but it’s hard to believe a whole year has gone by.  One of the reasons I drug my feet a little was that I thought no one would come visit my blog.  There are so many talented stampers out there that have been blogging for a long time and I didn’t think anybody really needed one more.  Well, boy have I been surprised!

Since I’m a numbers person (I was a CPA before kids), I thought I’d share some numbers with you:

325 posts
278,00 views
626 blog subscribers

What I can’t count are the number of supportive, encouraging, and kind comments I’ve received over the past year.  I have truly been amazed and honored to receive all of them.

I thought that a first anniversary deserves some blog candy, don’t you?  If you are a U.S. resident, please leave a comment at the end of this post and I’ll randomly select a winner to post on Saturday.  You must comment on THIS post, and it must be left by Saturday, August 3rd at 6 p.m. CST to be eligible to win.  Here is what will be included in the blog candy:

First Anniversary Blog CandyThe blog candy includes two rolls of Gingham Garden washi tape, a packet of Bakers’ Twine, Hung Up Cute Clips, a packet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and a Print Poetry dsp stack.   Come back on Sunday to see if you’ve won.  The winner will need to send me her/his address so I can mail the blog candy.

Well, if you’re still with me, I do have another Gorgeous Grunge card to share today.  As I mentioned yesterday, I’ll be featuring this stamp set all week.

Gorgeous Grunge Display 4I added a strip of Island Indigo card stock, which was embossed with the chevron embossing folder to the side.  I embossed the sentiment from Sweet Essentials with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss powder, and added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to a couple of Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another Gorgeous Grunge project.  Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

I noticed that this week the blog counter on my blog hit 100,000 views.  Wow!  I started blogging at the end of July last year, and I am still amazed to see how global the stamping community is.  I’ve had visitors from countries of which I’ve never even heard.  I’ve also been amazed by how many of you leave kind and encouraging comments and messages, and subscribe to this blog.  It really means a lot to me, and I am thankful for each comment as I know that takes precious time to do.  So, as a thanks from me to you, I’d love to share some blog candy with you.

The blog candy includes the Moving Forward stamp set (wood mount), Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Gumball Green 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon, and Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons.  Unfortunately, I can only offer this to those in the U.S.

To be entered in the drawing for the blog candy, please leave a comment at the end of the post and let me know what kinds of things you’d like to see on this blog.  I’ll draw the winner on the evening of Monday, February 4th.  You will need to check back on Tuesday when I’ll share the name of the lucky random winner, who will then need to email me his/her mailing address.

Have a great Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!
