Love & Affection — Stampin’ Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!  There are 20 of us from around the globe who will be sharing our projects with you twice each month.  All you need to do to follow along is click on the link at the bottom of each post.

Our focus this month is on the Affectionately Yours suite of products.  The flowers in the Love & Affection stamp set are fun and sweet, and the sentiments are wonderful.  I made two different cards for this post using four of the new  In Colors — Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Emerald Envy.

It’s really easy to make your own custom bouquet with this stamp set!

Group June Facebook ProjectsFor the first card , I started by embossing the floral bouquet on the card base’s left side.  I used one of the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (two different folders are included in this item).

Every LovelyI then stamped some of the leaves on a Whisper White panel and some of the flower images on another piece of cardstock, cutting them out with my Paper Snips.  After placing the flowers over the leaves, I added some White Perfect Accents (with the white backing peeled off) to the flower centers and added some white sequins.

Every Lovely Close UpFor my next card, I stamped some more of the flowers and leaves on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and did some more cutting with my Paper Snips.

Sending a SmileI placed a white panel, which I embossed along one edge with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I sprinkled a few sequins and added the sentiment on a banner.  This card is very clean and shows off the beautiful colors of the flowers.

Sending a Smile with Affectionately Yours Suite — Stampin’ Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!  There are 20 of us from around the globe who will be sharing our projects with you twice each month.  All you need to do to follow along is click on the link at the bottom of each post.

Our box for June contained products from the Affectionately Yours Suite, which features florals and copper.  For this hop I chose to focus on the beautiful Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, the coordinating Love & Affection stamp set, and the Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

I started by making a pocket card using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and a piece of the dsp. I stamped the flowers and leaves and cut them out with my Paper Snips.  The large flower was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with the Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Sending a Smile Pocket ClosedI made an insert, which slides right into the pocket, from a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, adding a strip of Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape at the bottom.  I love the sweet sentiments in this stamp set.

While I had all of the supplies out on my desk, I made a couple of note cards as well.  They are sized at 3-1/4″ x 5″.

These use a color scheme of Night of Navy, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, and Daffodil Delight.

Dijon Delights — Monday Montage #69

Monday Montage Banner -- October

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of ten stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

I still have another sneak peek from the display boards at last month’s On Stage event to share with you today.  One of the new sets that will be available starting June 1st is Love & Affection.  It is a pretty floral set with even prettier sentiments.

Dijon Love & AffectionOne of the colors that I was asked to focus on was Delightful Dijon.  So for this card, I ran a piece of Delightful Dijon through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I then cut it into two piece and inserted a piece of white card stock, on which I stamped some of the floral images from Love & Affection with Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron inks.

Dijon Love & Affection Close UpThe sentiment was embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I added a little bit of black baker’s twine and called it a day.  This would be an easy card to send through the mail.

Dijon ButterflyOn this last card, I watercolored some Delightful Dijon ink onto a piece of Shimmery White card stock with a paint brush.  The butterfly was cut from Vellum Cardstock using one of the Butterflies Thinlits dies.

Aren’t these sentiments so sweet!  I love them!

Every Lovely Word — Monday Montage #68

Monday Montage Banner -- October

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of ten stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is to click on the links at the bottom of each post.

I have a sneak peek for your today.  It features a stamp set that will be included in the new annual catalog, which will be released on June 1.  It’s called Love & Affection.

Every Lovely WordI love the sweet flowers in this set, but I love the sentiments even more.

I used a color combo of Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight for this card.  To keep the Baker’s Twine exactly where I wanted it, I used little drops from the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  I love that glue!
