Same Sketch, Different Card

Be of Good CheerThis card uses the same sketch I used on yesterday’s card.    With a different stamp set and different color combination it looks quite different though.

I covered the tag with washi tape, and used another roll on the card base.  The other strip that looks like washi tape is actually a stamp from the Tape It set.  I love that set because it lets you make faux washi tape in any color you like.

Sweater Inspiration

Sometimes inspiration comes in unusual places.  When I saw this picture in a Boden catalog, I was immediately inspired to make a card.

So I pulled out my Festive Flurry set and framelits and got to work.  I used the colors in the sweater — a lot of Very Vanilla with a little Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Gold Encore ink.  I had to throw in some sequins too.

Sweater-Inspired Christmas Wishes

While it’s a bit of an unusual color combination for a Christmas card, I like the way it turned out.  Catalogs are often a great source of fresh and fun color combinations.

A Bright and Happy Note Card — FMS107

Our Artisan award-winning and super talented Jennifer Timko has a fabulous sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches:

Now that we have the super cool Envelope Punch Board, we can make cards of any size and have a coordinating envelope.  When I saw this square sketch, I thought I’d make a 4″ x 4″ note card.  I pulled out my Tape It stamp set, which is so much fun, and went to work with some bright colors.

Faux Washi

You’ll want to go check out what the other designers did with the sketch at the Freshly Made Sketches site.  And then I hope you’ll join us and make a card of your own.  We love to see your interpretation of the sketch too!

One More Fall Card

I think I’ve seriously been hoping that by making Fall-themed cards that I could hurry Fall along here.  It’s not happening!  We are still in the throes of Summer.  But here’s one more for you today.  I wanted to play along with Sandy’s theme challenge at the Paper Players this week:

I decided to pull out the Magnificent Maple stamp.  I just love the detail and the size of this stamp.  I also pulled out my Tape It stamp set, which I just got recently.  I love how the stamps in this set look like washi tape, which you can make in any color you want.  The top and bottom strips are stamps, while the middle strip is dsp.

A Fall Hello

This really was a simple card to make, even though I used four different stamp sets to make it.  lol!
