Do Your Best

All three of my kids went back to school today.  It’s a sad day for this mom!  I love having them home for the summer, and I love our carefree schedule during vacation.  Now we’re back to crazy schedules and less time together.  I have one in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school this year.  Let the craziness begin!

I like to surprise the kids with little notes in their lunch boxes occasionally, and when I saw the super cute Do Your Best Printables in the annual catalog (page 89), I knew they would be perfect. Plus, the download is only $2.95 and you get lots of cute cards.

Do Your Best 1I made this card in MDS using a stamp brush set and embellishment included in the download.  I printed several custom made cards like this on one sheet of Whisper White card stock and then cut them all out to mount on various colors of card stock bases.

Do Your Best 2I was then able to add little embellishment of my own to add a little dimension and texture.  I added the baker’s twine and flower with the rhinestone (colored with a Blendabilities marker) on this card.

Do Your Best 3I kept these all really simple, and they were really quick to make.  I’m looking forward to making more throughout the school year.

I can’t wait for the kids to get home and tell me all about their days!  The first day of school is always so exciting!

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!
