All three of my kids went back to school today. It’s a sad day for this mom! I love having them home for the summer, and I love our carefree schedule during vacation. Now we’re back to crazy schedules and less time together. I have one in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school this year. Let the craziness begin!
I like to surprise the kids with little notes in their lunch boxes occasionally, and when I saw the super cute Do Your Best Printables in the annual catalog (page 89), I knew they would be perfect. Plus, the download is only $2.95 and you get lots of cute cards.
I made this card in MDS using a stamp brush set and embellishment included in the download. I printed several custom made cards like this on one sheet of Whisper White card stock and then cut them all out to mount on various colors of card stock bases.
I was then able to add little embellishment of my own to add a little dimension and texture. I added the baker’s twine and flower with the rhinestone (colored with a Blendabilities marker) on this card.
I kept these all really simple, and they were really quick to make. I’m looking forward to making more throughout the school year.
I can’t wait for the kids to get home and tell me all about their days! The first day of school is always so exciting!
Enjoy your Monday! Thanks for stopping by!
