A Fully Loaded Amazing Birthday

Sometimes, it’s hard to stop piling on embellishments and layers when making a card. Stampin’ Up! sells so many amazing products that all coordinate, and sometimes I just want to use them all…at once.  Now that I look back at this card, I think I must have felt that way when making this one.

AB Card 4This card is fully loaded.  It has sequins, buttons, candy dots, punches, ribbon, baker’s twine, clothespins, die cuts, sewing, and dsp.  And it was fun to make!

AB Card 4 Close UpI’m usually more of a clean and simple kind of stamper, but every once in a while it is fun to pile it on.

Amazing Birthday Meets Project Life

AB Card 5I love how the Project Life card kits are not only perfect for scrapbooking but also for card making.  I made this card for the convention display boards and used the Amazing Birthday stamp set on it as well.

I love the colors in this Everyday Adventures card kit and accessory pack.  And I love how this stamp set seems to match everything in them so well.  I just got my pre-order from the Holiday catalog and I ordered the new holiday-themed Project Life card collection, Seasonal Snapshot.  It covers all of the Fall and Christmas holidays, and I am in love with the colors and patterns in it.  I can’t wait to dig into it.

A Glammed Up Birthday Card

AB Card 3Here’s another convention display board card for you using the Amazing Birthday stamp set.  I tried to glam it up a bit with touches of gold and black.

AB Card 3 Close UpI also used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for the black splatters.  The punched hearts were strung together by sewing them with my sewing machine.  The butterflies were punched from vellum card stock.

This isn’t my normal style, but every once in a while it’s kinda fun to get “messy.”  ha!

Scrapbooking the Traditional Way with Project Life by Stampin’ Up!

In addition to the three convention sets we were given to make display board samples, we were also given some Project Life goodies to use.  Today I want to show you how can use Project Life products to scrapbook in a traditional way.

AB Scrapbook

I used some items from the Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack and Card Collection.  The accessory pack includes the epoxy stickers, banner stickers, and washi tape as well as many more items which I didn’t use here.

I also used some of the stamps from the Project Life Point & Click Stamp Set and some in-color sequins.  And I also added some crazy stitching with my sewing machine.

AB Scrapbook Close Up 4I used one of the stamps from Amazing Birthday for the title of the page.  Sometimes making a 12 x 12 page can be a little intimidating because you have so much space to fill.  But these little cards make it pretty easy.  They enable you to focus on one small space at a time, and everything coordinates.

So, what do you think?  Are you more of a traditional scrapbooker or do you like the new Project Life pocket-style of scrapbooking?  I like them both!

A Bag and a Box

I have two more convention display board projects for you today.  One is a sack and the other is a box.  They both feature the Amazing Birthday stamp set.

AB 3d 2I used one of the Chevron Tag a Bag Gift Bags and then added a fun banner and embellishments.  I finally made a spiral flower using the Spiral Flower Originals die out of Hello Honey card stock.  I hot glued it on with some ribbon and sequin trim.

AB 3d 2 Close UpI also decorated one of the fry boxes, which I created with the Fry Box Bigz L die.  It is so easy to assemble, and it’s so fun to decorate.

AB 3d

I put some marbles in the cellophane bag, which of course coordinated with the fun Gold Soiree dsp. My daughter had a great time playing with the extra marbles.

AB 3d close upI love how versatile this stamp set is.  Even though it has birthday in its title, this set can really be used for so much more than birthdays.

Two Amazing Birthdays

I have some Convention Display Board samples for you today, this time using the Amazing Birthday stamp set.

AB Card 1I tried to focus on the new In-Colors for this card, so I used Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss, and Basic Gray.

AB Card 1 Close UpI added a little crazy stitching with my sewing machine, and used some dsp from the Moonlight dsp pack.

AB Card 2For this next card, I focused on some of the In-Colors which were introduced last year — Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana.  I threw in some Crumb Cake and Silver Glimmer Paper as well.

AB Card 2 Close UpI used the new star punch which is included in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to make the star strips.  I also used some of the fun new In-Color Sequins as well.

Birthday Confetti

Amazing Confetti BirthdayWhen I saw this fun dots stamp from the Dotty Angles stamp set, I thought it looked like confetti.  And one occasion in which confetti would be appropriate would be birthdays.  So I paired it with the Amazing Birthday set.

Amazing Confetti Birthday Close UpI embossed the dots with white embossing powder, and used a color combination of Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey, Bermuda Bay, and Melon Mambo.

Birthday Circles

Birthday CirclesHere’s a birthday card using the Amazing Birthday set.  I’m pretty good about remembering birthdays.  It’s getting the cards in the mail that I struggle with.  So the “surprise” on this card should really say, “Suprise — this card actually made it to you by your birthday.”  I don’t think I’d need to stock up on many of those though.

I used the color combo of Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Tangelo Twist.

Birthday Circles Close UpI used my Old Olive Blendabilities markers to color the rhinestones.  I love how easy it is to do that.  The dsp is from the Confetti Celebration package.

An Amazing Golden Birthday

AB with GoldHere’s a birthday card with some fun, gold accents today.  I used the new Amazing Birthday stamp set and the Moonlight dsp stack.

AB with Gold Close UpI love the gold sequin trim, but I must say that my camera doesn’t feel the same about it.  It is always so hard for me to get good pictures of any projects when I use that stuff.  If you have any tips, please let me know!

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!
