A Musical Noel

Here’s another Christmas card for you today.  I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels on this one.  They’re on sale now for the Online Extravaganza (ends Wednesday), but you’d better hurry if you want some.  Stampin’ Up has told us their supply is running low, and when they run out this item will be on backorder until January.  Yikes!  I’m glad I stocked up because I love these things!

I used the sketch at the Retro Sketches site for this one.

Hope you have a nice Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Framed Noel

I thought it would be fun to play along with the sketch challenge over at the Retro Sketches site this week.  The sketch was not that hard itself — but sometimes I try to make things too hard by deliberating over which designer paper to use, which ribbon, which stamp set, etc…  Before I know it, a card that takes less than fifteen minutes to make has taken me two hours!  It doesn’t help that the laundry keeps buzzing at me, and I keep thinking of other little chores that I need to do.

So, I ended up pulling out a color I haven’t used in quite a while — Certainly Celery, and used another color which I use ALL the time — Cherry Cobbler.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Framed Christmas Wishes

I wanted to play along with the challenge at the Paper Players site today.  The challenge is to incorporate frames into a project.

When I saw this challenge I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Flourish Designer Frames in the Holiday catalog because I hadn’t even opened my package of them yet.  🙂

I ended up layering different labels on this card and added some banners at the bottom (you know I love banners).  I stamped one of the frame images from Four Frames with Gumball Green ink and framed it with a Flourish Designer Frame.  I layered that on top of a frame using an Apothecary Accents die, and layered that on top of a Snow Festival Designer Printed Tag.  Whew!  Lots of layering!

Well, enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A “Busy” December 25

The “Busy” in the title of my post refers to how this card seems a little busy to me with all of the patterned paper.  I guess I don’t usually use this much patterned paper nor so many different patterns all on one card.

I made this card using the sketch at Pals Paper Arts.
