Seriously the Best Little Ladybug — FMS428

It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  And this week I have the privilege of being the hostess and providing the sketch.  Take a look:

When I made the card for this sketch a couple weeks ago, life wasn’t so crazy yet.  My daughter was still at college in Michigan and my son was still doing his internship in Atlanta.  Now they’re both home.  It’s unbelievable how much life changed in just one week.  I’m trying to focus on the positives — we’re all healthy, we have food and shelter, and we have some extra time together that as a mom of two college students, I wouldn’t have had under normal circumstances.  I hope that you are faring as well!

I combined two stamp sets for this card — Seriously the Best for the sentiment and Little Ladybug for the images.

I stamped the flower on some white card stock and cut it out with a stitched shapes circle.  The ladybug was stamped on another piece and cut out with my paper snips.  I colored them with markers and adhered them to a piece of dsp from the Pleased as Punch dsp package.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch!  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hey, Little Ladybug — FMS419

It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is the delightful Lee Ann Barrett.  Take a look at the fun sketch she has for us:

I wanted to make a card to send to my daughter at college, and I thought the Little Ladybug stamp set, which is a Sale-a-Bration hostess set, which is free with any order of $300 or more, would be perfect for a card for her.

This is another Sale-a-Bration set that will have coordinating dies for purchase starting February 4.  I used them to cut out the two ladybugs and the flower.  I sponged some ink on a piece of card stock to create the background for the scene.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch!  We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
