From the Bottom of My Heart — FMS85

So, have you ever been over to Narelle Faruggia’s blog?  She is one talented Aussie stamper, and she has a great sketch for us at Freshly Made Sketches today.

I pulled out a fun set I haven’t used in a while, From My Heart.

From the Bottom of My Heart

I used some of the Pool Party Core-dinations card stock on this card, which I lightly sanded.  Did you know that Core-dinations card stock will be available in all colors in the new catalog on May 31?  Yes, it’s true!

I hope you’ll be able to come play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Secret of Life…

…well, according to James Taylor it is enjoying the passing of time.  Hmmm…

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for this card.

For the colors, I decided to play along with the color challenge at The Paper Players.

Yes, I used Bravo Burgundy!  I even had some scraps of it in my scrap file, which is where I always go first when looking for card stock.  I can’t even remember the last time I used Bravo Burgundy!  But I must say it does look good with this color combination.  That’s what I love about challenges — I get to step out of my box and use up some of the supplies that I totally forget about.  🙂

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Shabby Chic Attempt

I love the shabby chic/vintage look.  There are so many stampers out there who make this look appear so easy and pretty.  I just don’t find it to be very easy.  I think I am just too fond of straight lines and a clean look.  But every once in a while, I get the urge to try to make something with a vintage look.  I think I end up with a combination of shabby chic/vintage and clean and simple, but that’s ok.  I’ll keep trying!

Have a great Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!
