Three Paned Friendship Flowers — FMS496

We’re back with another new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess, the amazing Judy Rozema, has a fun sketch for us. Take a look:

When I was looking through my stamp sets for a set that would work with the sketch, I knew the Flowers of Friendship set would be perfect with it’s vertical sentiment and long, skinny flower.

I started by stamping the flowers, coloring them with my alcohol markers, and then cutting them out with my paper snips. The dsp is from the Hand-Penned collection.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration!

Loved, Today & Always — FMS493

We are cruising our way into July, and we have a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Our hostess this week is Karren Johnson, our resident queen of coloring, , blending, and making all things gorgeous. Take a look at her fun sketch:

When I first sat down with this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the flowers in the Flowers of Friendship stamp set. So before coloring them, I picked out some dsp from the Pattern Party collection so I could decide on a color scheme.

These flowers were easy to put together thanks to the coordinating punch that works with both blooms and leaves.

The sentiment is from the Through It Together stamp set.

Flowers of Friendship Hey — FMS486

We have a new sketch for you over at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of our hostess, the amazingly talented Jacquie Southas. Take a look at this fun sketch:

When I saw this sketch, I immediately knew I would be using a die from a new set called Basic Borders. This collection has fun dies to create cute edges for your cards.

I started by cutting a piece of dsp from the Pattern Party collection, which is a hostess benefit option, using one of the dies mentioned above. I then stamped several of the flowers and leaves from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set and colored them with alcohol markers before punching them out with the coordinating punch.

After arranging and adhering all of the flowers and leaves, I stamped a sentiment. And I didn’t like it. But I’d already adhered everything! And I wasn’t starting over! So, I decided to just cover up the sentiment. Which meant I then proceeded to spend more time trying to figure out how to best do that than I did in making the rest of the card. My Goodness!! I finally settled on cutting out a cute scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies and using a different sentiment from the In Symmetry stamp set.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! And I hope you have an easier time than I did! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
