Pink and Girly

Pink and Girly

I decided to make something pink and “girl-y” today.  I combined some Strawberry Slush flowers with some white lace stamped and embossed on Blushing Bride card stock.  I wouldn’t say that I’m really a girly girl (maybe that’s why I felt the need to add the burlap ribbon), but sometimes it’s fun to make something ultra-feminine.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Simple Stems, Viola’s Lace, Fabulous Phrases
Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Versamark
Paper:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Embellishments:  Modern Mosaic embossing folder, Little Leaves Sizzlit, 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder

Lots of Lace

lots of laceI think the detail in the detail in the Viola’s Lace wheel is so pretty.  So I decided to make my own custom-made dsp with it.  I will say that I think it is so much easier to unmount the stamp from the wheel, and add some clear-mount cling foam to the stamp.  Then you can just position it on a clear block and stamp away.

Lovely Romance with a Big Bow — FabFri24

It’s time for another Fab Friday challenge!  And this week we have a soft and pretty color challenge for you.

I am in love with these colors!  And when I saw them, I knew they’d be perfect for a Lovely Romance card to go along with my theme week.

Lovely Romance Big Bow

I really like the Natural 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon, and it ties so beautifully.  I couldn’t resist adding a big, impractical bow to this card.  🙂

I hope you’ll join us at Fab Friday this week.  Go check out what the other designers made with these beautiful colors at the Fab Friday site.

Enjoy your Friday!  Come back tomorrow and I’ll have my favorite Lovely Romance project for you.  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Lovely Romance, Viola’s Lace (wheel)
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe
Paper:  Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Venetian Romance dsp
Embellishments:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Natural 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon, Pistachio Pudding 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim, Vintage Faceted Designer Button, Pearl Basic Jewels, Linen Thread, Apothecary Accents framelits

A Double Dose of Lovely Romance

I have two cards for you today that I made for the Convention display boards using the Lovely Romance stamp set and the coordinating Venetian Romance suite.

Lovely Romance Display 4With this first card, I made a 6-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ card.  I stamped two of the medallion images repeatedly with Versamark ink and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I added one of my favorite dsp patterns from this suite, and added some ribbon, Island Indigo card stock, and paper piercing, as well as a Pistachio Pudding Boutique Detail.  The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.

Lovely Romance Display 2With this next card, I used the Viola’s Lace wheel to stamp on the card base.  I then layered on some of the Victoria 5/8″ Crochet Trim and Pistachio Pudding 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim.  I did some fussy cutting with the stamped images and added some embellishments, and called it a day.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Morning Meadow Pansy

Morning Pansy

This year’s catalog has some really great hostess sets.  On this simple and quick card, I’ve used the Morning Meadow set.  The flower in it coordinates with the Pansy Punch.  Love that!  I also used a wheel, Viola’s Lace.  I used to be so frustrated with wheels because I could never get my images straight.  But now I remove the stamps from the wheels and mount them on the Clear-Mount Cling Foam (page 197 in the catalog), and then use them like regular stamps — perfect every time!

I used a color combination that I got from the Color Coach — Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie.  I think it’s a great summer color scheme.
