An Easter Chick — FMS426

It’s time for another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is the incredibly talented Karren Johnson, our good friend from New Zealand.   Take a look at what she has for us this week:

It is beautiful Spring-like weather here in Texas this week, so I decided to break out my new Welcome Easter stamp set.  I adore the sweet animals in this set!  I decided to use the little chick for this card, and had fun coloring her.

I started by stamping her on a piece of white card stock and coloring her with markers.  I then cut her out with my paper snips.  I cut out a stitched shapes circle and blended some Old Olive ink over the grass stamped images, and placed the little chick on it.  The dsp is from the Birthday Bonanza dsp collection, and the sentiment was embossed on a piece of Mango Melody card stock.

Some of the little flowers were stamped on the card base and colored with markers before adhering the focal circle with dimensionals.

We hope you’ll create your own card using the sketch!  We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
