A Nutty ‘Stache

Nutty StarsI’ve made a couple of cards now with the cute Santa from the Santa Stache stamp set, but hadn’t made any using the nutcracker stamp.  So I thought it was time I inked him up.

I colored him with my Blendabilities and added a little Santa & Co. Designer Washi Tape on the side.  I then punched out a few stars from a scrap of Crushed Curry card stock using the Confetti Stars punch and glued them down on a Marina Mist card base.

A simple and quick design.

Stache-ing through the Snow — FMS

Look at this fabulous sketch that Jen Mitchell has for us this week over at Freshly Made Sketches:

Jen is a CAS genius!  She has such a knack for making beautiful CAS cards.  And I think this sketch is perfect for CAS cards.

I wanted to use this fun Santa image from the Santa Stache stamp set.  I think “jolly” is such an appropriate description for this Santa.

FMS SantaHe makes me smile.  I colored him with my Blendabilities markers and used the coordinating Mustache Framelits die to cut out and pop us his fun mustache.

FMS Santa Close upI thought this pretty snow-themed dsp coordinates so well with the fun sentiment.  It’s from the Nordic Noel pack.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card for the challenge.  Meanwhile, you can see what the rest of the design team made at the Freshly Made Sketches site.

Santa in the Stars

Santa StarsI pulled out my jar of embossing paste again and used the Stars Decorative Mask to make the background on this card.  That is such a fun and easy technique.

I colored the Santa with my Blendabilities markers and cut out his mustache with the Mustache Framelits die so that I could pop it up with dimensionals.

Santa Stars Close UpThis wasn’t a stamp set that I originally had on my wish list because I’m not really into the mustache craze, but there is something about the images in this set that I love.  Plus, I thought they’d be fun to color with my Blendabilities.
