Simple and Grateful

Simple and GratefulThere are times when coloring is kinda like therapy to me.  And with a master bath remodeling project that is now in its fourth week (I’m ready to have my bathroom back!) and a home office/stamp studio project that is now in full swing (everything is piled in our dining room until we get the shelves up this weekend), I thought I could use a little therapy today.

I love the floral images in the So Very Grateful set because they are so pretty and they are easy to color.  I used an aquapainter and my ink pads to color this one.

Simple and Grateful Close UpI stamped the image twice — once onto the Watercolor Wonder dsp, and once onto Whisper White card stock.  I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to align the image.  And then I colored away.  The top panel is popped up with dimensionals.

We will be putting up shelving in the home office/stamp studio this weekend.    And then I can move everything back in.  It should be a happy day!  Now, if only I could get our contractor to finish the bathroom!

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tilted Thanks — Monday Montage #13

Monday Montage Banner -- October

It’s time for another Monday Montage blog hop!  There are ten of us participating, so just click on the “Next” button to make your way through the hop.

Tilted ThanksI decided to play with the pretty flowers in the So Very Grateful set and the Sweet Sorbet dsp which is available during Sale-a-Bration.  I love the colors in it.

I am seeing cards with tilted panels everywhere these days, so I decided to try one again.  I’m finding that the most challenging part of these cards is photographing them.  I always seem to have a hard time photographing them at the correct angle.  So please try to look past that.  🙂

Tilted Thanks close upHere’s a closer look at the flowers and embellishments.  I stamped the flowers twice and colored them with my Stampin’ Write markers.  I cut out the blooms and popped them up with dimensionals.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog and check out her lovely creation.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can hop over to Wendy Weixler’s blog by clicking on the “Back” button instead.  Either way you choose to go, you can work your way through all ten blogs.
