It was birthday week in our house this past week. My daughter turned 16 on Valentine’s Day and my son turned 18 just two days later. I shared the card I made for her in our last blog hop, so I thought I’d share the card I made for him today. It was a fun week to celebrate these milestone birthdays with my kids (can I still call him that now that he’s 18?), but it was also bittersweet. I know that next year, he’ll be away at college on his birthday and I won’t get to celebrate with him in person. But I’m excited for him and the opportunities before him. I just try to focus on today and not think about what’s coming in a few short months too much.
I pulled out a set I haven’t used in a while, Celebrate Today. I used a color combo of Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Watermelon Wonder. This is a fun set, as it has banners, balloons, and great sentiments. Plus it has coordinating framelits!

I needed to add to my birthday card stash, so I pulled out Celebrate Today and paired it with some Birthday Bash Specialty dsp.
I have a new box of goodies from the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs, and I’ve barely had a chance to look at it yet. I carved out a half hour yesterday and decided that the sketch lent itself to one of the new balloon dies in the Balloon Framelits Die collection.
