Happy Day at the Beach — FMS289

It’s time for another new sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches site.  We have Linda Callahan, our delightful friend from New York, to thank for this fabulous sketch.  I almost squealed with joy when I saw it.  I do love a good collage-style sketch.

I reached for a retiring stamp set, Day at the Beach, when I saw this one.  I also used a retiring sentiment set, Suite Sentiments and some retiring dsp, By the Shore.

I embossed the images by stamping with Basic Black ink and using clear embossing powder and then watercolored them with an aqua painter and ink pads.  I cut them out with my paper snips.

We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch.    We love to see what you create!  Meanwhile, be sure to drop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Sunshine — FMS282

It’s time for a new sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches site, and this week our sketch comes to you from France.  Our talented friend, Cecile Ribon, has a fun one for us this week.  Here it is:

I love square cards, and they aren’t something I normally think to make on my own.  So I love it when one of our design team members makes a sketch using one.  I made a five inch square card for my card today with a base of sunny Daffodil Delight.

I stamped the images on watercolor paper and then watercolored  them with an aquapainter and a blender pen.   There are lots of fun summery images in this set.  The hard part was deciding which three to use.  The sentiment comes from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.

We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch.  We love to see what you create.  Meanwhile, be sure to venture over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
