Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the American readers out there!  I love this holiday — and not just because of the food (and there is a LOT of that), but also because it is so important to take some time to thank God for all of the things for which I’m truly thankful.  It’s good to do that every day, but it’s nice to have a whole day dedicated to that thought.

On my very long list of things for which I’m thankful, is the readers of this blog.  I’ve only been doing this for four short months, but I’ve had such amazing support from so many of you, and for that I am truly thankful.  This has been a fun experience!

I made a card for you to share that sentiment.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that you get to spend it with those you love the most.  Thanks for stopping by!

Homemade Treat from the Heart

My 2nd grade daughter has a sweet teacher this year, and I wanted to give her a little treat before the Thanksgiving holidays to let her know that we are blessed to have her in our lives this year.  I whipped up a little Fancy Favor box and put some homemade pecan pie muffins inside.  Here’s a picture of what’s inside:

I put some of the muffins in one of the medium sized cellophane bags, and decorated the little tag with a sentiment from Blessings from Heaven.  These muffins are super easy to make and have only five ingredients.  I’ve had this recipe for a long time, but I saw that The Girl Who Ate Everything recently featured this recipe on her blog.

I hope you’re enjoying your Thursday, and having fun preparing for Thanksgiving.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Yummy Tag

I delivered coffee and some homemade blueberry coffee cake to the second grade teachers at my daughter’s school this morning.  I wrapped the plate of coffee cake with this tag and some twine to dress it up a little.  I only had fifteen minutes to make it, so it had to be easy and quick.  I love all of the detail in this stamp set!  This will be a fun set to use as I make holiday treats.

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Inspiration from a Children’s Catalog

Sometimes I find inspiration in unusual places.  Take this card for example.  I glanced at a catalog that was laying on my floor, and saw a color combination that caught my eye.  Here it is from Hanna Andersson:

There is a cute little girl wearing this hat on the cover of the catalog.  Now normally I would never have paired Rich Razzleberry with Primrose Petals, but I like it on the hat, so I thought I’d try it on a card.  So what are your favorite places to look for inspiration?

Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!
