Ombre Tag It

Tag It Display 3Here’s an attempt to achieve the ombre look that is so trendy right now.  I am such a lover of blues, that those are the colors to which I immediately thought of using.  Stampin’ Up!  has such pretty blues!  I used some vellum card stock for the doily die so as not to cover up too much of the ombre card stock.  And I embossed the trophy with pewter embossing powder.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Tag It Celebration

Tag It Display 4

Here’s another card using the Tag It stamp set.  I’ve also used the Gingham Garden dsp.

Quick post today — I am so far behind on everything as I’ve been driving back and forth across the Metroplex to visit my mother-in-law each day as she’s in the hospital recovering from a broken hip.  She’s in a hospital in Fort Worth and I live North of Dallas, so we’re about sixty miles apart and separated by a lot of very bad traffic.  Spending 3+ hours in the car each day on top of my normal chauffeur duties as a mom of three children is zapping more time than I’d like.  I’d rather be spending that time with her or my children and husband than in the car.  Plus, I haven’t been able to stamp in days.  I miss that too.  Life will get back to normal soon (whatever that may be).  I’m still praying that we’ll convince her to move closer to us someday.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tag It Scrapbook Page — Monday Montage 3 Blog Hop

mondaymontageheader

We’re back for another Monday Montage blog hop.  I have another scrapbook page for you this week.  It features the Tag It stamp set.

Tag It Display ScrapbookThis is a picture of my youngest daughter on her last birthday.  She wanted to go to the American Girl Doll store and eat in the cafe.  She ordered a hot chocolate that was topped with whipped cream, and had such a fun and special birthday brunch with three of her best buddies and McKenna (her American Girl doll).

I used the Tag It stamp set, as well as Pennant Parade and the ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet sets.  I also used a mix of dsp patterns that featured the colors pulled from her sweater in the picture.

Tag It Display Scrapbook - Close Up

Now you’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  Be prepared to be inspired!  If you prefer to work backwards, you can go visit the amazingly talented Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, just make sure you make the full circle and visit all of the blogs in the hop.

Today Has to Be a Better Day

I think my family experienced Friday the 13th a week late.  We have not had rain here in several weeks, and we desperately needed it.  We finally got some yesterday (and we got quite a LOT in a short time period).  I know that I should be so thankful for the rain, but it turned out to be a bit of a curse for us.

My sweet mother-in-law slipped and fell on a wet spot on her kitchen floor (her dog had been out in the rain and left a nice puddle on the floor), and broke her hip yesterday.  While I was at the hospital in the waiting room during her surgery, I got a phone call from my darling husband saying that he had been in a car accident on his way to the hospital (thanks to some hydroplaning on the highway because of wet roads) and that his car had been totaled. Fortunately, he wasn’t injured other than just bruising and some sore ribs.  After all of that, my children probably grew very tired of my frequent phone calls checking in on them.  🙂  Surely, today has to be a better day, right?!?

Here’s another card I made for the Convention display boards.  I used the Tag It set, and the I Am Me dsp collection.

Convention Make & Takes — Part 1

One of the things I love about Convention is that we are given some great Make & Take packets.  In the past, I have made the projects at Convention and brought them home.  But this year, we decided to call them Take & Makes, and we didn’t make them at Convention, but brought the packets home and made them at home.  I’ll share three of them with you today.

Celebrate BagThis first project is a cute little Tag a Bag Gift Bag that was made into a gusseted sack and decorated with the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit and the Tag It stamp set.  I love the little clothes pins that come in the accessory kit.

Grungey Make and TakeThis second project is a fun card decorated with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and the Hello, Lovely stamp set.  I love the little bit of glimmer paper on it.

You're the Best Box

This last project that I’m sharing today is one of the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes.  It is decorated with the Hello, Lovely stamp set and some handmade feathers.  Very fun!

I’ll share the fourth project with you in another post later.  It requires a few pictures and I didn’t want to make this post too long.

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Tag It Celebration — FMS95

It’s a big day today!  I’m leaving for Stampin’ Up’s annual convention in Salt Lake City, and the super talented Narelle Farrugia has a great sketch for us at Freshly Made Sketches:

Narelle is the queen of perfect layers, and she has an absolutely gorgeous card that she made with this sketch.   I tried to channel my inner layering on this card in honor of Narelle.  I used the Tag It samp set, which is this year’s Ronald McDonald House stamp set.  Stampin’ Up donates $3 to the charity for every stamp set it sells.  The Tag It set also coordinates with the Chalk Talk framelits dies.  Pretty cool, huh?

It's Your Day

Go check out what the other designers made, and I hope you’ll join us in this challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
