Farewell to Jar of Love — Monday Montage #138

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

I sat down today and pulled out all of my stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of the month.  Let’s just say I now have a lot of room for new ones!  This process always makes me a little nostalgic for some of these sets which haven’t seen love in a while but still bring a smile to my face.  One of the sets that really struck me today was the Jar of Love set.  I think it’s so fun to make bouquets with this pretty set.

I started this one by stamping some of the flowers using Mango Melody and Calypso Coral inks.  The leaves were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green inks.

The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  My daughter will start taking her IB exams this week, and I want to give her little notes of encouragement in her lunches.  It is such a stressful time.  I know she is prepared and will do well though.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.

A Jar of Love and Pretty Flowers — FMS250

We have another sketch for you over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our wonderfully talented guest designer, Cècile Ribon, is our hostess.  Take a look at what she has for us:

I really love this sketch and I love all of the pretty flowers in the Jar of Love bundle, so it seemed like a natural decision to combine the two.  I wanted to make a card for a friend who is going through some terribly hard things right now, so I wanted to make something cheery and pretty.
Jar of FlowersI stamped the flowers with Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight inks.  The greenery was stamped with Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz inks.  The dsp is from the Fruit Stand dsp collection, and the sentiment is from the Here for You stamp set.

I love how easy it is to use these two-step stamps and to cut out the images with the coordinating framelits.

We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch.  We love to see your creations in the gallery and visit your blogs.  Meanwhile, be sure to move on over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team made.  You’ll surely be inspired!

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Jar of Flowery Thanks — FMS243

It’s my turn to be the hostess over at Freshly Made Sketches, and I am excited to share the sketch with you.  I always stress a little bit about designing the sketch.  I don’t want to make it too hard, but this is a challenge, so I don’t want to make it too basic either.  I hope I found a good middle ground, and I think it will work with lots of different styles.  So I can’t wait to see what everyone does with it!

I decided to use a new stamp set with it.  It’s called Jar of Love, and it has an amazing coordinating set of framelits as well.  This set is so versatile and it’s just beautiful!

Jar of Flowers

I used a color scheme of Dapper Denim, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz.  The dsp is from the A Little Foxy dsp stack.

Jar of Flowers Close UpI’d love to see you make your own card using the sketch!  We always look forward to looking through the gallery each week and seeing your creativity.  Meanwhile, be sure to see what the design team made this week over at the Freshly Made Sketches site.  I’ve had a sneak peek, and they’ve made some amazing cards!

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
