Halloween Mashup

PL Happy Halloween MashupI love how the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot Card Collection makes it so easy to pull together a quick card.  I used three of the cards on this project, and added some die cuts from the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits dies.

PL Happy Halloween Mashup Close UpThis was super quick and easy.  And it’s fun to mix and match these cards.

A Halloween Boo — Monday Montage #29

Monday Montage Banner -- October

It’s time for another Monday Montage blog hop!  There are ten of us participating, and all you have to do is click on the links at the end of each post to travel to all ten blogs.

One of the things I love about the monthly My Paper Pumpkin kits are that they usually include some exclusive stamps.  And I always love them.  While most of the supplies in the kit get used up as you make the projects, the stamps will last forever.  This month’s kit has some fab Halloween stamps.

Pumpkin TagThe bats and the sentiment both use this month’s My Paper Pumpkin kit stamps.  The pumpkins come from the Fall Fest stamp set.

I used the Positively Chevron background stamp on the tag with some Versamark ink and Heat & Stick Powder.  I then applied some Gold Stampin’ Glitter.

Pumpkin Tag Close UpI took a length of the White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim and unwound it, removed some of the threads, and tied a big bow around some of the Black 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog to check out her awesome inspiration.  If you’d rather work your way backwards, you can venture over to Wendy Weixler’s always creative blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all ten blogs.

Give Thanks

Give Thanks for FringeI love Fall colors.  We don’t really get the pretty colors of leaves for Fall where I live, but I can make my own.  I pulled out my Fall Fest stamp set and made my own Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze leaves.

Give Thanks for Fringe Close UpThe sentiment comes from the Holiday Invitation stamp set.  I added some gold sequins and colored some pearls.

I finally used the Fringe Scissors to make the Mossy Meadow trim.  They are really fun to use.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Ghost in the Pumpkins

Ghost in the PumpkinsAre you a Halloween fan?  I like Halloween, but I really only like fun & cute Halloween. I don’t really like scary Halloween.  So this Fall Fest stamp set is right up my alley.  I like the cute ghost and when you add googly eyes, he becomes fun too.

Ghost in the Pumpkins Close UpI used the Polka Dot Decorative Mask (stencil) for the background.  I used a sponge dauber and Smoky Slate ink as well.

I also pulled out my That’s the Ticket stamp set, which hasn’t seen ink in a long time.  I need to remember to use that set more.  I love the fun touch tickets add.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Stuffing

Stuffed ThanksgivingI recently won the Mingle All the Way stamp set as a door prize at a Stampin’ Up! event.  It has lots of cute sentiments that work great as focal elements.

I paired it with the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating dies and added some (lots) splatters and Candy Dots.  The washi tape is from the Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape collection.

Fall is Coming

I’m keeping the faith — Summer is almost over and Fall is coming.  It was in the upper 90s here today, but the weatherman says a cold front is coming to North Texas.  Highs in the 70s and 80s over the next few days may not exactly sound like Fall, but hey, it sounds pretty darn good to me.

When I saw that The Paper Players had a Fall-themed challenge this week, I knew I wanted to play.  Plus, it has “y’all” in the title — perfect for a Texan, right?

So I pulled out my Fall Fest and For All Things stamp sets and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits dies and got to work.

Fall is ComingI even managed to use a little Blackberry Bliss (still trying to overcome my stamping fear of purple).

Trick or Treat Pumpkin in August

Yes, I know it is just August and I’m posting a Halloween themed card today.  But I have all of these great goodies from the Holiday catalog (which was released yesterday, by the way) and it’s just torture not to use them.

trick or treat pumpkinI started with some of the dsp from the Motley Monsters dsp pack.  I then cut one of the Project Life Grid Cards down to a smaller size and rounded the corners.  I stamped one of the cute pumpkins from Fall Fest and cut it out with a coordinating framelit from the Fun Fall Framelits Dies.

trick or treat pumpkin close upThe sentiment comes from a new hostess set called Good Greetings.  It is available for free until October 31 when you have a party order total of $300 or more.  Plus you still get all of the normal hostess benefits for the $300 order.  Look at all of the great greetings that come in the set.

A Summertime Fall Fest

Here we are back in the heat of Summer, and I’m trying to make another Fall card.  I do love pumpkins and all things Fall, so the new Fall Fest stamp set was on my must-get list.

For All Things Fall Meets Fall Fest copyThis set has a coordinating framelits set, which not only includes the pumpkins but also the little leaves.  The dsp is also from the upcoming Holiday catalog and comes from two different packs, Color Me Autumn and Motley Monsters.

For All Things Fall Meets Fall Fest Close UpI was inspired by the sketch over at RetroSketches this week:
