A Flashback Rock Star

Flashback Rock StarOut of all of the dsp packs I have (let’s not count), it seems like I’ve used the Flashback paper the least.  I don’t know why!  I love the colors and fun patterns in this package.  So I decided I needed to remedy that situation.

I stamped one of the stars from Be the Star with Versamark ink and embossed it with Whisper White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Real Red card stock.  I then used one of the coordinating Star Framelits dies to cut it out.

I added a little Basics Hodgepodge clip and some Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine for a fun little embellishment.

Hooray for Stars!

Hooray for StarsI had been wanting Stampin’ Up! to offer star framelits for so long, and now they finally have them!  And in typical Stampin’ Up! fashion, they offer a coordinating stamp set (Be the Star) and a coordinating paper-piercing pack.

Hooray for Stars Close UpI love using star images because they are so versatile.  They’re good for guys and girls, and they’re great for so many occasions.

The colors I’ve used here are Tangerine Tango (the Confetti Celebration dsp), Hello Honey, Coastal Cabana, and Pacific Point.

Happy Father’s Day, Paper Pumpkin Style

With Father’s Day right around the corner, I decided I’d better get busy and make a Father’s Day card (or two).  I decided to use some of the elements from last month’s My Paper Pumpkin kit.

Pumpkin Father's Day

The cute banners are all from the kit, as is the sentiment stamp.  The stars were stamped with the new Be the Star stamp set and cut out with the new Stars Framelits Dies.  I am so excited to finally have these framelits!  The small Tangelo Twist stars were punched out with one of the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punches.
