Greyhound Chair — FMS541

We’re back with another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our favorite Canadian stamper extraordinaire, Jen Brum, is our hostess. She has a versatile sketch for us that is perfect for showcasing a small to medium sized focal image. Take a look:

When I saw one of the new hostess stamp sets, I thought one of the images could pass for a greyhound. And since we recently adopted one named Duke, I knew I wanted to make a card with this stamp. Duke is adjusting well to being in our home. He is super sweet, lazy, and still tortures our other dog, Millie, by not playing with her very much. He likes to play chase with her in the backyard, but it’s a very unfair game considering she’s a Pug and her little legs can’t keep up.

Of course, a greyhound would completely fill up a chair, so this isn’t the most realistic image for a greyhound. And Duke isn’t allowed on the furniture, so it’s doubly unrealistic for my purposes. But it sure is a cute image! And with the coordinating sentiments, I thought it would make a great card for our daughter who is away at college, and only got to spend a couple of days with Duke before she had to go back to Michigan for the summer.

I stamped the image and colored it with alcohol markers, and then cut out an Early Espresso frame with a new die set called Fabulous Frames. If you look closely you can see some embossed accents on the frame.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch. We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
