A CAS Masculine Birthday Card

I was intrigued by LeAnne’s challenge over at The Paper Players this week:

This sounded hard to me — not because it’s CAS, but because it’s masculine.  The only thing harder would be lots of layers and masculine.  Whenever I need to make a masculine card, I default to CAS.

Masculine Star Birthday

I went with a guy-friendly color palette — orange, blue, and gray.  And I forced myself to not use any ribbon nor buttons.  But I still added some fun embellishments with the candy dots and cute clips.

Hexagon Thoughts

Hexagon Thoughts

I’ve had so little time to stamp lately, and I’ve missed it terribly.  So I carved out 30 minutes yesterday morning, and decided to create just for fun.  I tell you, this hobby is like therapy for me.  I felt so much better after doing it.

Enjoy your Saturday!  I have piles of laundry to get through, a nine-year old birthday party to attend, and shopping to do.  Busy day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello to You

Grid HelloI thought I’d try to achieve a grunge-style look with this card.  Notice all of the straight lines?  Ha — I just can’t quite give them up!  So here’s a modified grunge-look for one who likes a clean style.  🙂  I really don’t think the words “grunge” and “clean” go together — oh, well!

After I stamped the grid image, I sprayed some Melon Mambo ink mixed with rubbing alcohol using one of the Stampin’ Spritzers.  All in all, this was a pretty quick and easy card.

Enjoy your Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!
