Yikes!! A Single Layer Card — PP142

Jaydee has a great challenge for us over at The Paper Players.  And boy, was it ever a challenge for me.

I think I could count on one hand the number of times I have made a one-layer card.  😉  I really had to put some thought into this one.  I ended up pulling out my Stippled Blossoms stamp set because the flowers are so beautiful.

Floral One-Layer Sympathy

I scored two lines on this card, and used a black marker and a ruler to draw the lines over and under the sentiment.  I must say that I really enjoyed making this card.  I got to do a lot of stamping on it and that was fun.

Go check out what the other designers made for this challenge.  I was really impressed with their creations:

A Magazine Case

I recently saw a pretty card that is on the cover of a Card Creations magazine.  I’m not sure who made the card because I haven’t actually looked at the magazine — I’ve just seen the cover.  So I’m not sure to whom the credit should be given.  When I saw it, I immediately knew I wanted to make a Stampin’ Up version of the card.  I added a few other changes as well, like the ribbon and bow.

A Single Blossom

I am making it a mission this week to use some stamp sets that have been neglected, but that I love.  This Stippled Blossoms set is one of them.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Stippled Blossoms, Lacy & Lovely (sentiment)

Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Comfort Cafe
Embellishments:  Crumb Cake 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon, Regals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Basic Rhinestone Jewels. Dazzling Details

Girly Card

I think this card definitely qualifies as a girly card if ever there was one for me.  The pink colors, flowers, texture, and script add to that effect.  All it needs to make it even “girlier” is a big bow, lace, glitter and jewels.  Hmmm….

Enjoy your Friday, and thanks for stopping by!
