Artisan Finalist Blog Hop — Day 5

2013artisanfinalistA

Today marks the half-way point on our Artisan Finalist Blog Hop.  Five projects down, five more to go.  Today I’m going to share another card with you:

Artisan ButterflyI thought this card was very true to my style.  For the butterfly, I die cut a piece of cardboard and then applied some Whisper White craft ink with a sponge dauber.  I then glued down some of the Glass Stampin’ Glitter on the butterfly.

Here’s the inside:

Artisan Butterfly InsideNext on the blog hop is Breelin Renwick’s blog, or you can work your way backwards and visit Wendy Weixler’s blog.

A Bright Secret Garden

A Bright Secret GardenIt is fun using bright colors in the middle of winter.  I’ve used a lot of yellow on this card, and I don’t usually use this color very much, so it seems really bright to me.

I’ve been wanting to watercolor lately, so  I thought this would be a fun stamp set with which to play.  This is a great stamp set, not only because it has matching framelits, but because you can watercolor with many of the stamps or you can just stamp on colored or patterned paper.  Very versatile!

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Sneak Peek at Posies & More

Pop-up Posie

Here’s a card with a bunch of sneak peeks for you.  I used some products from the new Spring catalog, which will be live on January 3rd, and some designer series paper and a stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, which will be available on January 22nd.

The beautiful flower was made using a new kit, called the Pop-Up Posies Designer kit.  It includes the precut paper flower pieces and the embossed Crumb Cake tag.  The kit also includes some other goodies, which I didn’t use on this card.
