Peach Blossom Birthday — FMS492

It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our sketch comes all the way from France. Cecile Ribon, the queen of using die-cut images to make gorgeous clean cards, has a fun sketch for us. Take a look:

I thought this sketch would be perfect to use a die-cut flower (especially in honor of our hostess, Cecile) and some pretty dsp. So the You’re a Peach suite was an easy choice for me.

I started this card by stamping the leaves and using one of the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then used my paper snips to cut out the flowers from a piece of the coordinating dsp.

I used two different patterns of the dsp for the card base and focal panel. I love the pretty colors in this suite! Some Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon was added beneath the focal panel.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Just Peachy — FMS487

As we speed along to Summer, it’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. And this week our hostess is the incredible Jennifer Timko, who has a fun slimline card sketch for us:

The sky is the limit with this sketch! The hardest part about it is deciding on a set to use. One of my favorite new suites in the new catalog is the You’re a Peach suite. I love the stamps, the sentiments and the gorgeous dsp which has beautiful colors. Since I hadn’t used it yet, I decided to make a card with it with this sketch.

I started by inking the peaches stamps with Pale Papaya ink and sponging on a little Calypso Coral ink on some of the edges before stamping. I cut out all of the stamped images with the coordinating die cuts. I added some tiny die-cut flowers and some Loose Flower Flourishes as embellishments around the sentiment.

I blended a little Balmy Blue ink on the focal piece of white card stock before adhering the stamped images. The focal panel was then layered on a piece of the coordinating dsp.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week! Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
