A Painted Seasons Note — FMS378

It’s time for a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and this week it is my privilege to be the hostess, which means I get to make the sketch.  While this sketch has three circles in it, please feel free to substitute any other shapes you’d like.  I was just trying to create a simple collage of three items.  Here’s a look at the sketch:

Since I can’t seem to be able to put the Painted Seasons bundle away without wanting to pull it right back out to make another card, I thought I’d use it for this sketch.  This bundle now has coordinating framelits for purchase, so that’s a plus for all of those who don’t like fussy cutting.

The sentiment was embossed with black embossing powder and is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.  I added some little enamel dots as embellishments.  The dsp is also part of the Painted Seasons bundle — you get the stamp set and dsp both as part of the Sale-a-Bration free offering with a qualifying purchase.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch!  We love to see what you make and I can’t wait to see all of the cards in the gallery this week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration this week.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Poppy Seasons– FMS377

We have a new sketch for you over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it comes from our awesome Artisan friend in the land down under, Narelle Farrugia.  Take a look at her great sketch:

I love sketches that have a simple collage, and this sketch is right up my alley.  Narelle is the queen of beautiful floral cards and fussy cutting, so I decided to channel a little of her style.  I used the new Sale-a-Bration offering, Painted Seasons, and cut the flowers out with my paper snips.  However, Stampin’ Up! is making coordinating framelits for this stamp set so you won’t have to fussy cut them if you don’t want to.

I started by cutting out the focal layer with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies. I then stamped the the background with a stamp from the Climbing Roses stamp set using Smoky Slate ink, stamped off once.

The sentiment was die-cut using one of the Well Written framelits dies from Basic Black card stock.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch.  We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A New Season — Monday Montage #133

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

There are some new Sale-a-Bration offerings and one caught my eye right away.  It’s the Painted Seasons bundle.  I think it was really the coordinating dsp that truly caught my eye first (it’s lovely!), but the stamp set is beautiful too.  Plus, there are coordinating framelits that you can buy as well.

I started this card by stamping this pretty flower image with some Mango Melody ink three times, twice using the stamping-off technique.  I stamped the leaves with Old Olive ink and cut them all out.  The sentiment is from the Humming Along stamp set and was cut out using a die from the Rose Trellis Thinlits dies.

I placed the floral arrangement on a piece of the Painted Season dsp and added a few pearls for embellishment.  This bundle — the stamp set and dsp together are offered as a free Sale-a-Bration offering — is only available for the rest of the Sale-a-Bration period, which ends March 31 so you only have a few weeks left to get it.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.
