I don’t know what it is about these little wooden people that came in a My Paper Pumpkin kit last December, but I have this strong affinity for them. And subscribers can even order refill kits and get extra little wooden people (here’s a link). I’m in!
When I saw this cute sentiment stamp from the new Something To Say set, I immediately thought of this wooden couple. I needed a wedding card to enclose with a gift, so I made this little card. The card is only 2-1/2″ x 4″, and I will probably end up punching a hole in it in the top left-hand corner and tie some pretty ribbon on it to attach it to the wedding gift.
I used the scalloped heart in the Hearts a Flutter framelits to cut out a Very Vanilla heart, which I then colored with Crisp Cantaloupe ink using a sponge dauber. I like the soft look that gave it. I pierced a smaller heart with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack. The smaller, Very Vanilla heart was also cut out with a die from the same framelits pack. The Island Indigo row of hearts was created by just punching out the hearts with the heart punch in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
I haven’t played along with The Paper Players in a while, so I was excited to see they have a wedding-themed challenge this week. It was just what I needed to make myself sit down and get this card made.
Enjoy your Thursday! Thanks for stopping by!
