We’re back with another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is our Canadian bear-loving, mountain hiking, and card making friend, Jen Brum. Take a look at her fun sketch:
I will be in need of some masculine birthday cards next month, so I decided to get a head start on one. Punny cards are often good for the guys, so I pulled out the cute Taco Fiesta stamp set, which has a birthday sentiment.
I started with a card base of Parakeet Party card stock and then cut out the pieces of patterned paper from the Zoo Crew dsp pack.
I stamped the cute images and sentiment from the Taco Fiesta stamp set and colored them with some alcohol markers and added some sequins for embellishment. Once I figured out how to cut out the paper, this was a quick and easy card!
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration!
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

That’s a really cute card! The cutting of the paper adds great interest! I love those chips!
This card is so fun! I just love those nacho chips and dip! I do love a good punny, masculine card! And yes, I do LOVE bears!!!
I love this Amy and you have inspired me to reach for my still uninked stamp set to create something with it this week – I need some masculine cards too and this will indeed be perfect!
This is so cute! Faces on inanimate objects gets me every time! Adorable card!
