It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it is provided by our favorite Canadian mountain trekker, Jen Brum. Take a look at her fun sketch:
I’m starting to feel the possibility of Fall here. We supposedly had our last 100 degree day last week, and while it doesn’t feel like the dog days of Summer anymore, I know Fall is still a few weeks away. However, it’s fun to look ahead and make cards as if it were just around the corner.
I started this card by stamping the Crumb Cake card base with the Sketched Plaid background stamp using Versamark ink. I then cut out the leaves from some All About Autumn dsp using the Autumn Leaves dies and cut some of the leaf veins/twigs from some Very Vanilla card stock, which I adhered to a strip of Very Vanilla.
The sentiment is from the coordinating Autumn Leaves stamp set and was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink. I am so glad to have this color back! I love it so much!
Some linen thread and Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots were added as embellishments.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to head to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Great card and sketch
This is such a gorgeous card Amy! Those leaves make my heart go pitter patter! Love the plaid background and even those twigs and branches! So many sweet details!
Beautiful card. Love the sparkly leaves and stamped background.
The contrast of the plaid with that pretty metallic in the leaves really works! So pretty!
