A Tall, Shiny Tree

I wanted to play along with the challenge at The Paper Players site, and I’ve been wanting to use the tree image in the Christmas Lodge set because it is so detailed and just beautiful.  I thought the challenge and the stamp were a perfect match.

I embossed the tree with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and it looks so pretty and shiny in real life.

Have a great Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Musical Noel

Here’s another Christmas card for you today.  I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels on this one.  They’re on sale now for the Online Extravaganza (ends Wednesday), but you’d better hurry if you want some.  Stampin’ Up has told us their supply is running low, and when they run out this item will be on backorder until January.  Yikes!  I’m glad I stocked up because I love these things!

I used the sketch at the Retro Sketches site for this one.

Hope you have a nice Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Peppermint Pink with a Candy Cane

I think Pink Pirouette is such a pretty pink, and I think it goes so well with the Stampin’ Up reds.  And I love the crisp look of red on white, so that is from where the color combination for this card came.  I kept it clean and simple.

I hope you have a great Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Two Christmas Tags

Here are a couple of Christmas tags for you that don’t require much stamping, but just a few cranks of your Big Shot.  I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder on these tags, and it’s currently 25% off during the Online Extravaganza.  I’m not a good photographer, so you can’t really tell, but I used a sponge dauber to apply some of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint directly onto the embossed images.  They look so pretty in real life.

Enjoy your Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Come to Bethlehem, Sweet Essentials
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler

Christmas Box

So did you get all your Christmas shopping done yesterday?  Ready to start gift wrapping?  If so, I have a box all ready to go for you today.  Unfortunately, this little box is empty, as I didn’t get any shopping done yesterday.  I’d rather do it online and avoid the crowds.  Plus, shopping on Black Friday requires organization — and I’m not that organized.

These cute little boxes are 25% off during Online Extravaganza.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should.  Here’s a view of one of the sides of the box.  I just stamped directly on the box sides.

Have a great Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

This isn’t exactly a new stamp set, but I do love it!  I think the images are beautiful and the sentiments are just as lovely.

I hope you have a good Friday!  Today has to be a better day than yesterday with its flat tire, sick child (poor thing) and endless child chauffeuring duties for the other two children (which always happens when you have a sick child and a flat tire).  Whew!  I’m ready to move on to the weekend!

A Christmas Doily Greeting

Here’s an easy Christmas card for you.  I cut the doily with the Large Delicate Doilies Sizzlit die using copy paper because I wanted it to be made of a thinner paper than card stock.

Hope you’re having a good week so far.  My children have the week off from school next week, so this week is zooming by as I try to get everything done this week so I can relax and enjoy my time with them next week.  I’ve still got a lot to finish up on my list before the weekend gets here.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Scentsational Christmas Tree

Did I ever tell you that I LOVE the Christmas tree image in the Scentsational Season stamp set? 😉  If you follow my blog, I’m sure you’ve figured that out as I use it a LOT.  For this card I used some scraps from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, and embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder.

Have a great Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Framed Noel

I thought it would be fun to play along with the sketch challenge over at the Retro Sketches site this week.  The sketch was not that hard itself — but sometimes I try to make things too hard by deliberating over which designer paper to use, which ribbon, which stamp set, etc…  Before I know it, a card that takes less than fifteen minutes to make has taken me two hours!  It doesn’t help that the laundry keeps buzzing at me, and I keep thinking of other little chores that I need to do.

So, I ended up pulling out a color I haven’t used in quite a while — Certainly Celery, and used another color which I use ALL the time — Cherry Cobbler.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
