Mixed Medley Patterns

Here’s another Christmas card for you.  I used my two favorite patterns from the Festival of Prints dsp stack on this one.  I apologize for the poor photo quality.  I had to take a picture of this one at night with a flash, and I am just not a good enough of a photographer to take good pictures without natural light.  Maybe someday!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  We had a super busy one here.  Thanks for stopping by!

Here’s some more non-traditional colors for a Christmas Card.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for this card, and I must say this one was a Challenge (with a capital C) for me.

I hope to get some stamping done today, as well as lots of laundry and get the pansies planted.  I hope you get to enjoy your weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Gray & Red Christmas

I hadn’t played along with the Moxie Fab Challenges in a while, and this week’s challenge photo was too good to pass up.

While I love the traditional red and green colors for Christmas, it’s also fun to try some non-traditional color combinations occasionally too.

I love the wallpaper in the inspiration photo.  The white on gray is so crisp and clean.  I just got the Flowering Flourishes stamp set and I knew it would be perfect for this look.

Well, we’ve made it to Friday.  I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to a restful weekend!  I hope you enjoy yours.  Thanks for stopping by!

O Christmas Tree

I was inspired by this card by Debbie Olson, and decided to make a Stampin’ Up version.  Oh, how I love this cute little tree!

Hope you had a fun Halloween last night!  Here’s a pick of one of my two trick or treaters.  This year my oldest child decided he is too old to go.  That makes me sad (and it makes me feel old  :))!

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Pinecone CASE

I tend to get my inspiration from lots of sources — magazines, catalogs, clothing, etc…  But one of the main ways I find inspiration is from other stampers.  When I saw this card made by Dawn McVey, I knew I wanted to make a Stampin’ Up! version of her card.  And since I just got the Watercolor Winter set, I knew just what to do.

Well, it will be a busy Saturday here.  Lots of birthday activities going on in our house.  Fun times!  Enjoy your weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Watercolor Winter, Greetings of the Season
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Festival of Prints dsp stack
Embellishments:  Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Naturals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread

A Blue Christmas

Alright, I apologize if you have Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas” stuck in your head this morning.  After all, it is October and it’s too early to be singing Christmas music (though I think I could sing it all the year through).  🙂

I recently received a copy of Garnet Hill’s Kids catalog, and this pretty dress is on the cover.  I love the gradient color scheme of the dress and thought I would incorporate it into a card.

Pretty Pirouette Dress - Baby Girls & Girls

And since I’ve been on a Christmas card kick, I thought I’d make a Christmas card with some non-traditional colors.  And since I was using non-traditional colors, why not use a stamp that really isn’t a Christmas stamp?

Yes, I realize it’s a bit of a stretch to call this a Christmas card because it doesn’t look very Christmas-y.  But it does say, “Christmas Cheer” on it, so I guess it qualifies.  Oh, you could always change the sentiment if you didn’t like it.

Have a great Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Layered Labels, Sweet Essentials
Ink:  Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Real Red
Paper:  Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla

Framed Christmas Wishes

I wanted to play along with the challenge at the Paper Players site today.  The challenge is to incorporate frames into a project.

When I saw this challenge I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Flourish Designer Frames in the Holiday catalog because I hadn’t even opened my package of them yet.  🙂

I ended up layering different labels on this card and added some banners at the bottom (you know I love banners).  I stamped one of the frame images from Four Frames with Gumball Green ink and framed it with a Flourish Designer Frame.  I layered that on top of a frame using an Apothecary Accents die, and layered that on top of a Snow Festival Designer Printed Tag.  Whew!  Lots of layering!

Well, enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Sparkly Ornament Tag

The Friday Mashup Challenge blog included a challenge this week to make a project with a Christmas ornament or to make a project with some sparkle.

I chose to mash it up and make a sparkly ornament project.  And for my project, I chose to make a tag.  To make the shape of the tag I used the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags and traced part of its shape onto the top and bottom of the Gumball Green card stock and then used my scissors to cut it out.

Have a great Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!
