There’s a new sketch up at Freshly Made Sketches, and it comes to us via one of our fabulous new design team members, Verena Shapiro. Her debut sketch is terrific! Take a look:

Coneflower Celebrations was one of the first new stamp sets to go in my cart when the new catalog went live. There are some fabulous dies that go with this set, but I chose to color the image with Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends instead of using the layered dies. I look forward to trying that option next time.

I started by blending a little Lemon Lolly ink onto the white card base. I curved the stem before stamping it — one of the great things that photopolymer stamps allow us to do — in an attempt to make my flower fit the sketch. After coloring the images with alcohol markers and cutting them out with the coordinating dies, I added a sentiment from the More Messages stamp set.
