Bless You and Keep You — FMS682

There’s a new sketch up at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it comes to us via our crafty, theater-loving friend in Nebraska, Judy Rozema. Take a look at her sketch:

I recently received some dsp that will be available in the new catalog in just a little over a couple of weeks from now. It is called Beautiful Gallery, and there are some really gorgeous papers in this collection. I took one of the sheets and cut it in the pattern of the sketch.

The sentiment and focal image is from the Courage & Faith stamp set. I embossed it on a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock, which is also used for the card base, and cut it out with a die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies collection.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration. And when you do, you may notice a new designer on the team. We are so excited that Michele Ferguson has hopped on board!

Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Faith Frame — FMS651

It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it comes to us courtesy of Jen Timko, who has mad coloring skills. She has great sketching skills too – take a look:

When I saw the large oval in the sketch, I immediately thought of a wreath in the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP.

I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and then cut out a strip of Petal Pink card stock to go under one side of a piece of the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP. This dsp kit has some coordinating die-cut images, and I used three of those to assemble the floral wreath.

I used another piece of the dsp in the center of the wreath, and embossed a sentiment from the Courage & Faith stamp set on it. And that was it! An easy card!

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

A Loved Verse — FMS589

There’s a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is the delightful Linda Callahan. Take a look at her fun sketch:

I recently acquired the new Courage & Faith stamp set and knew it could work with the sketch (if you just squint at it rather quickly). 🙂 This stamp set contains one of my favorite Bible verses, Proverbs 3:5. I have come to rely on this verse so many times, in good times and bad. The stamp only shares a part of the verse. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

I chose to use a color scheme of Boho Blue, Old Olive, and Petal Pink. I used some old baker’s twine I found in my stash, which is not Petal Pink but blends in ok.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
