The new sketch is up at Freshly Made Sketches, and it comes to us from our favorite French card maker, Cecile Ribon. Take a look at her fun sketch:
When I first saw the sketch, I knew it would be perfect for a Mother’s Day card. I hadn’t yet played with the new Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape yet and it looked perfect for the sketch, so I decided to try it out. I ended up making a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4 square card.
I started by adhering the washi tape to a piece of white card stock, and then cut out the elements with the coordinating die. I do appreciate how the one die cuts out all of the little pieces.
I then stamped the sentiment, which is from a retired stamp set called Daffodil Daydream, using Strawberry Slush ink. I sponged some Darling Duckling ink onto the card base and then placed the floral elements around the focal square. Some linen thread and some Strawberry Slush gems were added as embellishments.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration!
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
