From the Bottom of My Heart — FMS85

So, have you ever been over to Narelle Faruggia’s blog?  She is one talented Aussie stamper, and she has a great sketch for us at Freshly Made Sketches today.

I pulled out a fun set I haven’t used in a while, From My Heart.

I hope you’ll be able to come play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mosaic Sneak Peek 2 — FMS84

Take a look at the great sketch that Linda Suarez has for us at Freshly Made Sketches this week:

When I first saw this sketch, I thought it would be great for a masculine card (and I never have enough of those).  And since I still had my new Mosaic Madness set sitting on my desk from yesterday, I decided to use it again.

FMS Mosaic

On yesterday’s card I used the coordinating embossing folder and punch.  On this card I used the coordinating dsp.  It has great patterns and fun, bright colors.  It also includes two printed window sheets.  That is what I used on top of the white flag.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  I hope you have time to go check out what the other designers did with the sketch, and to play along with us this week at Freshly Made Sketches.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday to you!  Happy Birthday to you!  Happy Birthday, dear Vicki!  Happy Birthday to you!  Today at Freshly Made Sketches we are celebrating Vicki Burdick’s birthday with her.  You have probably visited her blog (and most likely, love it as I do).  So go by and leave her some birthday wishes.

There is a new sketch for you today designed by the talented Allisa Chilton at Freshly Made Sketches.

I pulled out my Cross My Heart stamp set, which has fun little crossword sentiments, and pulled my colors from the Print Poetry dsp stack.

To make the little button/flower embellishment, I used one of the larger Silver Basics Designer Buttons.  I punched three 7/8″ Scallop Circles from dsp and then put a 1/2″ Circle of Raspberry Ripple card stock and an In-Color Dahlia on top.

Enjoy your Wednesday, and come play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pop-Up Posies Meets Epic Day — FMS81

It’s already another Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week the fabulous Cindy Hall has this sketch for us:

Since I am currently addicted to the This and That Epic Day dsp, I immediately reached for it (it’s never far away :)).  I hadn’t used any of the Pop-Up Posies products in a while and they go so well with the Epic Day papers, so I pulled that out too.  And here’s what I made:

A Sparkly Whale Card — FMS80

Are you ready for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches?  If so, the very talented Linda Callahan has a good one for you this week:

I decided to pull out the cute little whale stamp set, Oh, Whale!  Since the focal object can be any shape, I decided to let it be the whale itself.  This was a super easy and quick card to make.  I didn’t even use many supplies (at least compared to what I normally use).  🙂

A Blue Whale

This card is actually a notecard-sized card.  Stampin’ Up! sells notecards (5″ x 3-1/2″) and coordinating envelopes, which makes it even easier to make this card.

I hope you can join us in the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

Have a great Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Oh, Whale!
Ink:  Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze
Paper:  Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Embellishments:  Happy Whale Clearlits die, Marina Mist 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Sent with Love on a Tag

It’s Wednesday, and Rita Wright has a fun sketch for us at Freshly Made Sketches that has a lot of possibilities:

Since the circle element on the sketch can really be any shape you’d like, I chose to make a tag.  And I pulled out my current favorite product right now — the Sent with Love kit.  I have found it so easy to make cards with this kit.  I love it!

Go check out what the other designers made with this sketch at the Freshly Made Sketches site.  It’s always fun to see how different our projects are even though we start with the same sketch.  That’s another reason why I love looking at your projects too when you link them up.

Boutique Blossom — FMS78

It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  Jen Mitchell has a great sketch for us, which I think has a lot of different possibilities.

When I saw this sketch, I knew I needed to use the Boutique Blossom single stamp.  Did you know that Stampin’ Up is offering ten single stamps through March 31?  Boutique Blossom is one of them.  You can check them out here.  I hadn’t used this stamp yet, so it needed to get inky.

Neglected Summer Silhouettes — FMS 77

Continuing on with my theme for the week of using neglected stamp sets on my shelf, I am using Summer Silhouettes today.  I also used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, by the very talented Jennifer Timko.

This stamp set was one of the first sets I ordered when the catalog came out.  I love it and I used it a few times, and then it was sadly neglected.

Summer Blues

When I saw the sketch, I immediately knew I wanted to use the large Silver Basics Designer Buttons.  I have used up almost all of the small ones, but have had a hard time incorporating the large ones into my projects.   I think they fit well with this sketch.

I hope you can make time to join us in this challenge at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Go check out what the other designers did with the sketch and then make a project of your own.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Three Flowers that Finally Found a Home — FMS76

Recently, I was invited to join the Freshly Made Sketches design team.  I jumped at the chance as I love this team’s sketches and designs, and have played along with many of their challenges since I found the website a few months ago.

This is my first week to be on the team, and Linda has a great sketch for us.

I had made some paper flowers months ago and decided to not use them on the project for which I made them.  They’ve been sitting on my desk all this time as I couldn’t bear to throw them away.  I knew they would eventually find a home.  When I saw this sketch, I knew immediately that I could use them.

So Kind of You Flowers

I used the 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle punch to make the flowers.  Here’s a link to a tutorial by Kelly Goree on how to make them if you’re interested in making some of your own.

I hope you’ll be able to join us and make a project for this challenge!  Here’s some inspiration from the other designers:
