Bouquet of Dies — FMS685

There’s a new sketch up at Freshly Made Sketches, and it has been provided by our crafty and witty friend from up-state New York, Linda Callahan. Take a look at her fun sketch:

A new bundle in the new annual catalog is available now, and I couldn’t wait to use it.

The Florals in Bloom suite of products includes a new set of dies, the Pretty Floral Dies. I cut out some of the blooms from Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush, Lemon Lolly and Darling Duckling, Peach Pie and Timid Tiger, and Garden Green and Old Olive. I used lots of the In-Colors, which I am loving. These dies are so fun to use and have such great detail.

I cut out a strip of Florals in Bloom dsp and placed it on the left side of the card base. I then cut out wide ovals using a die from the Impressions Abloom Die collection and Secret Sea card stock and white card stock. I added some In-color Flat Pearls as embellishments and a sentiment from the More Messages stamp set in Secret Sea ink.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

You’re Lovely — FMS684

There’s a new sketch up over at Freshly Made Sketches, and it comes to us this week from the Bay State of Massachusetts via our talented card making friend, Jen Mitchell. Take a look at it:

I have been wanting to ink up a couple of pre-order sets that will soon be available in the new catalog, so I was determined to make them work with the sketch.

I started with the lovely Florals in Bloom dsp. I cut a piece of it for the background paper. It uses the new In Color, Secret Sea. I cut the flower blooms from another sheet of that dsp using the coordinating dies, Pretty Florals dies. I stamped the stems and leaves using a stamp from the Pretty Florals stamp set and then cut them out using the coordinating dies.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Blooms bundle. I added some yellow twine and called it a day.
