Taco Trio — FMS606

We’re back with another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our Aussie queen of collages and wizard with the scissors, Narelle Farrugia, is our hostess. Take a look at her fun sketch:

When I saw those three circles, I thought of tacos. Truth be told, I’m often thinking of tacos and there are lots of awesome places to get tacos here in Texas. And in honor of National Taco Day (Yes, that’s really a thing!) which is today, I thought the cute tacos in the Taco Fiesta stamp set would work well with the sketch and the holiday.

I stamped the tacos, colored them with Copic markers, and then cut them out with my paper snips (in honor of our hostess, Narelle).

We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch! Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Guac Birthday — FMS591

We’re back with another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is our Canadian bear-loving, mountain hiking, and card making friend, Jen Brum. Take a look at her fun sketch:

I will be in need of some masculine birthday cards next month, so I decided to get a head start on one. Punny cards are often good for the guys, so I pulled out the cute Taco Fiesta stamp set, which has a birthday sentiment.

I started with a card base of Parakeet Party card stock and then cut out the pieces of patterned paper from the Zoo Crew dsp pack.

I stamped the cute images and sentiment from the Taco Fiesta stamp set and colored them with some alcohol markers and added some sequins for embellishment. Once I figured out how to cut out the paper, this was a quick and easy card!

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration!

Piñata Fiesta — FMS567

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2023 is treating you well so far. We have a new sketch to start the new year off over at Freshly Made Sketches, and it is my pleasure to provide it this week. Take a look:

I had some new goodies from the mini-catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure, which will be available starting tomorrow and I was determined to use some of them with this sketch. There is a cute new set out from Erica Cerwin, called Taco Fiesta, and it was one of the first sets that went on my pre-order. I love the fun images. Since all of the images are fairly small, I knew this set would work with the circles in the sketch.

I stamped the candy and confetti multiple times on some white circles and then colored them with alcohol markers. The piñata was stamped, colored and cut out for the focal circle. And the sentiment was embossed on a piece of black card stock. Everything was placed on a Balmy Blue card base.

The fun dsp is from a Sale-a-Bration offering called Dandy Designs. It is free with a $100 order and I love all of the colors and patterns in this pretty paper.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! I am looking forward to seeing how everyone uses the sketch. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
