Thanks a Bunch

This card was made with two challenges in mind.  I started with the challenge at the Paper Players, which is to make a project with the theme of “Give Thanks.”

I also used the sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  Perfectly Preserved
Ink:  Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze, Raspberry Ripple
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, More Mustard, Orchard Harvest dsp

A Framed Noel

I thought it would be fun to play along with the sketch challenge over at the Retro Sketches site this week.  The sketch was not that hard itself — but sometimes I try to make things too hard by deliberating over which designer paper to use, which ribbon, which stamp set, etc…  Before I know it, a card that takes less than fifteen minutes to make has taken me two hours!  It doesn’t help that the laundry keeps buzzing at me, and I keep thinking of other little chores that I need to do.

So, I ended up pulling out a color I haven’t used in quite a while — Certainly Celery, and used another color which I use ALL the time — Cherry Cobbler.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Joyous Celebrations
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Paper:  Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer dsp, Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags
Embellishments: Flourish Designer Frames, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Apothecary Accents, Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon, Chevron embossing folder

Mixed Medley Patterns

Here’s another Christmas card for you.  I used my two favorite patterns from the Festival of Prints dsp stack on this one.  I apologize for the poor photo quality.  I had to take a picture of this one at night with a flash, and I am just not a good enough of a photographer to take good pictures without natural light.  Maybe someday!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  We had a super busy one here.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sparkly Snowflake Greetings

Here’s some more non-traditional colors for a Christmas Card.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for this card, and I must say this one was a Challenge (with a capital C) for me.

I hope to get some stamping done today, as well as lots of laundry and get the pansies planted.  I hope you get to enjoy your weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Gray & Red Christmas

I hadn’t played along with the Moxie Fab Challenges in a while, and this week’s challenge photo was too good to pass up.

While I love the traditional red and green colors for Christmas, it’s also fun to try some non-traditional color combinations occasionally too.

I love the wallpaper in the inspiration photo.  The white on gray is so crisp and clean.  I just got the Flowering Flourishes stamp set and I knew it would be perfect for this look.

Well, we’ve made it to Friday.  I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to a restful weekend!  I hope you enjoy yours.  Thanks for stopping by!

O Christmas Tree

I was inspired by this card by Debbie Olson, and decided to make a Stampin’ Up version.  Oh, how I love this cute little tree!

Hope you had a fun Halloween last night!  Here’s a pick of one of my two trick or treaters.  This year my oldest child decided he is too old to go.  That makes me sad (and it makes me feel old  :))!
