Starburst Sayings Sneak Peek

Oh Happy DayHere’s another sneak peek for you featuring a fun new stamp set called Starburst Sayings. There are even coordinating starburst shaped framelits in several sizes.  Love them!  I also included a sheet of dsp from the new Fresh Prints dsp stack.  All of these new products will be available on January 3rd.

Enjoy your Thursday!  I need to get busy with wrapping Christmas presents today! Thanks for stopping by!

A Holly Jolly Christmas — FMS 117

Oh, my!  We’re getting close to Christmas!  Just one week away!  And I get to be the hostess this week over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here’s the sketch:

This sketch has lots of “white” space, and gives you the chance to use up some of those pretty paper scraps you’ve been hoarding.  I made another Christmas card with the sketch, and kept it very clean and simple with a couple of extra details — some stitching, glitter and gold foil paper, and a button.

Corner BannersI hope you can take a little break from your Christmas shopping, baking, wrapping, etc…and make a card using the sketch.  I’d love to see what you make!  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the rest of the design team made.  I already took a peek, and they have all done an outstanding job!

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks — Monday Montage #9

Monday Montage Banner -- OctoberIt’s time for another Monday Montage blog hop.  There are ten of us participating in the hop, and you can make your way through all ten posts by clicking on the arrows at the bottom of each post.

I have a box of new goodies that will be coming out in the new Spring catalog and during Sale-a-Bration, and I have been itching to ink them up.  I picked one set, Peachy Keen, for this post and I made two cards to share with you.

Peachy KeenThere is a coordinating set of framelits that goes with this stamp set, and I’ve used it here.  Not only does the framelit cut out this cute polaroid frame, but it also embosses it at the same time.  Pretty cool, huh?  There are some other sneak peeks here too — notice the sequins and gold baker’s twine?

Photo Strip HelloOn this next card, I’ve used the same stamp set and framelits set.  There are a couple of other sneak peeks — wooden embellishments and gold foil vellum paper as well.  I’ve also used another new framelits set, Banners Framelits, which cuts layered banners for you.

I’ll have to admit it was nice to take a little break from making Christmas projects.  However, I need to get back to that!  I’m running out of time!

You’re ready to hop along to see the gorgeous treats that Breelin Renwick has prepared for you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click on the back arrow and visit the super talented Wendy Weixler.  Either way, you can work your way through all ten stops.

Snowflakes with Doilies and Glitter

Glittery Snowflake

I haven’t really played around with the new Gold and Silver Stampin’ Glitter very much this season, so I decided to use it on these snowflakes.    It’s two days later, and I think I still have glitter on me.  I really love the look of glitter, but I have to admit I reach for the glimmer paper when I can over the Stampin’ Glitter.

I’m going to take my girls to see “Frozen” at the movies today, and then I have to get some serious work done on our family Christmas cards.  Why, oh why, do I put this off every year?

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Christmas — FabFri33

Here we are with our last Fab Friday challenge of the year.  And we have a fun sketch challenge for you.

I decided to try to make a Christmas card with a vintage feel to it.  I love that look, but find it hard to make.  I pulled out my dusty Layered Labels set and stamped the beautiful bottom layer with the Gold Encore ink and went from there.

Vintage Christmas 2I hope you’ll go by the Fab Friday site and see what the other designers did with the sketch.  And then I hope you can find some time to play along with us and add your card to the gallery.

Christmas Joy — FMS116

It’s Wednesday again already!  Can you believe it?  It’s time for another sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our fabulously talented Australian team member, Narelle Farrugia has a great sketch for us:

I love this sketch!  It’s nice and simple, and it has such fun banners on it.  I really stuck to the sketch this time, and pulled out my A Banner Christmas set.

Simple Sewn Season Greetings

Iced in here another day.  The kids don’t have school again today.  Yikes!   I don’t know how those of you who live up North do it. My creative mojo has been frozen over as well.  I’ve had more time to craft the past four days than ever, and I can’t do it.  Nothing is coming to me — I just want to cuddle up by the fire with a cozy blanket, and snuggle with the kids and dog all day.  I did sit down at my desk and force myself to make something yesterday.  I thought if I could just make one thing, it would get the creative juices flowing and I could get more done.  Didn’t work.  But here is what I did make.

red and black greetingsIt’s a very simple card, and I’ve used a bit of an unconventional color scheme for a Christmas card.  I even pulled out my little sewing machine.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

O Holy Night

Well, we’re still iced in here (since Thursday evening), and I’m starting to get a touch of cabin fever.  It would be nice to at least see the sun again.  You would think I’ve been getting a lot of crafting done, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.  I helped my third grader with a big project she has due at school tomorrow, and got several loads of laundry done and a few other chores completed yesterday.  Maybe today I can spend more time crafting.

Blue Holy NightHere’s a simple card that I did have time to complete.  I love this O Holy Night stamp.  I still need to try it with the chalkboard technique.  Hmmm….maybe that should be on my list for today.

Enjoy your Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Elephant Congratulations

I needed to make a baby card, and I really love this week’s Deconstructed Sketch so I decided to use it for the baby card.

Deconstructed Sketch No. 129

I love the Zoo Babies set and don’t get to use it enough, so I knew that I wanted to use it for this card.  I also used the super fun Alphabet Press embossing folder.

Baby CongratulationsI know it’s a bit of an unconventional color scheme for a baby card, but I like doing that.

We are iced in here.  The kids got to miss school yesterday, and it is so cold here that I’m not sure when this stuff will melt.  I just feel so blessed that we didn’t lose our electricity, as so many around here did.  I hope you are safe and warm wherever you are!

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!
