I was recently asked to be a guest designer on the Paper Players blog. I’ll be designing cards for their weekly challenges for the next six months along with their talented designers and other guest designers. I’ve been playing along with their challenges since I found their blog a few months ago and I love their challenges and what their team creates each week. I’m really looking forward to this assignment!
So here’s the challenge for this week:
I knew I wanted to use hearts, and I just love the crisp look of Real Red and Very Vanilla together, so that is what I used.
I hope you’ll check out what the other designers did with this theme, and that you’ll play along at The Paper Players! Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, Field Flowers (sentiment)
Ink: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake (for sponging around top layer)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Pretty in Pink
Embellishments: Brights and Subtles Designer Buttons, Hearts a Flutter framelits, Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 3/16″ Corner punch, Real Red 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Sponge Dauber

Thanks, Kelly! I love your pun!
Congratulations Amy! I love hearing this news and I’m a big fan of your designs. I’ll have to start following those Paper Players a lot more regularly 😉
Thanks, Celia! I hope you can some play with us.
Congrats, Amy, and I’m excited to be stamping alongside you at The Paper Players! This is such a great card. I love the rounded corners, the sweet little hearts with buttons, and the sentiment is perfect. Wish I had that stamp!
Thanks, Sandy! The feeling is mutual!
LOVE this!! I’m going to have to CASE;)
Thanks, Marcee! CASE away!
Love this card Amy! And, congrats on being a guest designer – that’s awesome! Can’t wait to see the designs you come up with over the next few months.
I’ve already told you how much I love this card….but I just have to tell you again! Each little heart is so cute…..and that embossing adds just a little sprinkle of goodness more!
You are sweet, LeAnne! I was worried that this card was too simple, so I’m glad you like it.
This is a most beautiful card…so bright and so yummy! Congratulations…I can see why you were chosen!!!
Thank you, Carol!
This is absolutely adorable, Amy! Love all the hearts and how each is different but all decorated with a button. The touch of embossing is perfect not to mention that bow! So glad you’re stamping with us…welcome to the team!
Thanks, Nance! I’m looking forward to stamping with you!
Hooray Amy! Welcome to the Paper Players! Love your fun card! THe little buttons are such a sweet touch along with that little pop of textured trim. Very pretty! Hope you had a fun weekend! 🙂
Amy, great way to kick off your DT spot! I love the clean lines, the repetition of hearts and buttons and the simple sentiment. The rounded corners were perfect with the hearts and buttons, too.
Fabulous card
Jaydee
Thanks, Jaydee! It’s always nice to get a compliment from one whose work I love.
