It’s another Montage Monday (on Sunday evening :)). I can’t wait to see what the other designers have created this time around!
I made a new Fall banner for our mantle. We actually had a taste of Fall this weekend in Texas, and I’ve loved it.
I used the Sweater Weather dsp and the large leaf image from the Bigz Autumn Accents die. The alphabet letters, which spell “Happy Fall Y’all,” are from the Bigz Typeset Alphabet die. Here’s a closer look:
I took the 7/16″ Natural Trim and layered it across the top of each banner. I’ve found that sewing all of the banners together works best for me. I just feed each banner through on my sewing machine, leaving a little space between each one. This allows me to easily fold the banner up for storage until the next year.
Here’s one more close look at an individual banner:
Now you’re ready to hop on over to incredibly talented Breelin Renwick’s blog and continue on the blog hop trail. If you’d prefer to work your way around in reverse order you can see the fabulously creative Wendy Weixler’s creation by hitting the Back button instead.
Enjoy your Sunday evening! Thanks for stopping by!
This banner is wonderful! I love the ruffled Naturals Trim on top of each piece. That is one of the things I love about your work, your attention to detail! Great job!
Gorgeous work & fabulous inspiration, thank you!
Love the banner! How did you affix it to your mantle?
I just tied the ends of the string (from when I sewed the banners together), stuck some straight pins into my mantle, and hung the banner on the pins. Easy!
Love that trim Amy!
I love the ruffled trim on the top of each pennant…perfect added touch for such a fun fall banner!
