Well, here it is — the first day of Fall — and the weatherman says it will get up to 97 degrees here today. Oh, well. It will start to feel like Fall before too long.
Nonetheless, I was inspired to make a Fall card today. I was inspired by the challenge over at CAS-usual Fridays , which is to create a clean and simple project inspired by Autumn and by the challenge over at the Friday Mashup.
So I pulled out a beautiful stamp set that I haven’t used since last Fall, French Foliage, and got busy. The leaves in this set are gorgeous, and just beg to be used with different techniques. I took a sponge dauber and applied different colors to each stamp.
This was a fun card to make. Enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
Stamps: French Foliage, Tiny Tags
Ink: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake
Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Embellishments: sponge daubers, Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Jewelry Tag punch, Early Espresso Baker’s Twine, 5/8″ Crochet Trim, Color Spritzer Tool
Beautiful! Love the pleated crochet trim. I love fall colors and this time of year. Now… if it will just cool off!
I love it Amy! The contrast of the white and the fall colors is visually stunning, and I love the use of the houndstooth EF. And it’s perfect that you used the baker’s twine, because any other ribbon would overpower the main element, the beautiful leaves.
What a stunning card, as usual!!
Loooove!! Those leaves turned out amazing! Thanks for having some fun with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
That’s such a great stamp set and lovely to see all the stamps being used on the same project too :0) Fabulous colours on the leaves..they look so realistic :0)
Thanks for joining in the fun at CASual Fridays this week :0)
