The super talented Ann Schach has a great challenge for us this week at the Paper Players.
I don’t know about you, but masculine cards never come easily for me. I always struggle with making them. I’m not sure I would exactly call this card masculine, but I wouldn’t call it feminine either. I think it could easily pass for a guy’s card. There is no ribbon, rhinestones, nor buttons. The guys in my house think that those items disqualify a card from the masculine category automatically.
I decided to go with a grungy look — well, this is about as grungy as I get. I distressed the edges of the dsp and crumpled it up (which still seems wrong to me, but I just took a deep breath and did it).
Go take a look at what the rest of the team did with the challenge at the Paper Players, and then join us.
Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Label Love (available May 31)
Ink: Pool Party, Basic Gray
Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Epic Day dsp
Embellishments: Epic Day washi tape, Hung Up Cute Clips, Artisan Label punch (available May 31), Color Spritzer Tool
Love this card. Hope you don’t mind if I case it.
OK, Amy you are officially an enabler! I wasn’t going to purchase any of this Epic Day bundle but now that I see you create amazing card after amazing card with it, I need to have it all! Thanks! (jk) Inky hugs 🙂 Sandy
This is perfectly awesome and I may just have to CASE it! Terrific way to use those already-grungy masculine papers, and the rustic look of that label (which I love, BTW) matches perfectly. And the clip just draws your eye to the sentiment perfectly!
Another great card, Amy! Your crumpled paper is fabulous–perfect for a guy card and I love how the silver clip draws the eye to the sentiment. Sneaky way to get some bling on with the silver clip, tee hee!
I love you card! I still can’t bring myself to crumple paper, but yours looks so good I may have to try it! 🙂
Wow…cool grunge look! I’m with Justin (that I can’t crumple paper myself)… although, now that I see yours…. it’s something to consider. Thanks for inspiring!
